Chapter 47

Obi-wan's POV

I got back to our quarters to see Anakin laying upside down while reading a datapad. 

"what on earth are you doing?" 

"reading." 

"I can see that, but stop sitting like that. it's a bad habit, you're a knight now with a Padawan at least act like an adult." 

Anakin sighed sitting up right. 

"you know if you keep nagging everyone you're gonna die of stress." 

"and I wonder who's fault that will be." 

I give Anakin a glare. he put his hands up in mock surrender. 

"so did you find out the answers you needed?" 

I took my cloak off hanging it up. 

"yes." 

"and what is it? she didn't tell me anything when I saw her." 

I sighed. 

"the council is giving her another title, only I have a feeling this one will be the one that she'll be mostly known by from now on." 

"what is it?" 

"I'm not sure. they'll be announcing it tomorrow. in the mean time it's likely she'll avoid the temple for as long as possible." 

"why would she hate receiving a title from the council so much? it means they'd at least acknowledge her as a part of the order." 

"this title is not likely to be like anything the order would bestow. and this has more to do with the public eye than anything else. but it will no doubt have an effect inside the order on how people will view her as well." 

Anakin sighed. 

"yeah that makes sense." 

"we better head to bed for now. I have a feeling it'll be a long day." 

I head to my room for the night.

Y/n POV

I woke up early, just barely before the sun rose. I sit up seeing Padmé still asleep in bed. I get up from the sleeping mat as quietly as possible leaving the room. I write down a short message, saying I was heading back to the temple. no need to wake her when she hardly sleeps cause of all the work she does for the senate. I hop into the speeder I took over, heading back to the temple. I mange to land and sneak past the temple guards easily enough getting back to my quarters. I open the door quietly and shut it behind me. 

"welcome back." 

I look to the side of me. 

"Obi-Wan." 

he was sitting on the couch despite it being early in the morning. he was dressed and wearing his cloak. he must have gotten up for his morning meditation or something. he always was an early riser, although I'm pretty sure that's because of Qui-gon. 

"I heard you spent the night at padmé's." 

"yeah... I guess you heard from Anakin." 

"yes. but master Yoda confirmed it." 

I sighed. 

"the title will probably be announced in an hour. will you be there for it?" 

"for everyone to stare at me weirdly, no thanks. I think I'll stay here in bed and rest. besides it's not gonna be a grand scale event. if anything the council will tell the other main masters and the word will spread from there. after all the training, I'd rather just rest."
