Y/n POV
I look at master Qui-gon. the door shut behind him I was unsure what to say. it's been so long, the last time Obi-Wan and I saw him was when we were watching his body burn on the pyre, after the fight with Maul on Naboo. there's so much I want to tell him; it's been over ten years. so much has happened. I wanted to tell him everything, warn him of what was to come, but knowing I can't made seeing him so hard. no doubt Obi-Wan was feeling that same pain.
"Master I thought you wouldn't be back till tomorrow."
"I finished up early so I figured I'd come back, maybe get some extra training in for the both of you.-"
he looked to our younger selves.
"but it seems you gotten yourselves into some trouble too."
he looked over to Obi-Wan and I.
"a bit."
I admit embarrassed.
"so y/n how did you three mange to get your hands on the manuscript of time, it's heavily guarded in the volts in the archives."
"I know."
"only the head archivists and masters have access to those volts."
"I know."
"so how did you get it?"
Qui-gon stared directly at me. he did this to Obi-Wan and I until one of us broke. me being the one who usually did first. it worked both as a training exercise for shielding our minds in case of interrogation on a mission, and keeping our thoughts quiet. although it doubled as a way of interrogation for us too when we got in trouble; I look down.
"I'm the apprentice archivist. the head archivist asked me to repair the binding on it since she couldn't at the time. it was imperative that it needed to be done as soon as possible. But due to certain circumstances I couldn't return it right away. and a certain someone decided it was a good idea to touch my stuff, after I specifically said not to!"
I looked at Anakin. my look sharp he flinched slightly. I turned on Obi-Wan next to me.
"I thought you taught him better than to go through other people's belongings. I have hardly any rules and you can't follow the ones I do have!"
"why am I being scolded?"
"because you were his master, you're in charge of guiding and teaching him!"
"excuse me?! I'm a knight now you know!"
Anakin voiced indignantly.
"that is irrelevant; there is no end to learning even if you attain the rank of master. there is always something to learn. that's one of the wonderful things about this galaxy, you should appreciate it more!"
"you sound more like master Jacosta everyday."
he mumbled. I decided to ignore it for now. I turn back to the rest who were staring at me in surprise at least younger Obi-Wan and Vos, my younger self on the other hand looked amazed. Qui-gon had a small grin on his face.
"ah, ummmm sorry for the out burst, I guess I got a bit carried away."
I smile a bit embarrassed.
"I see you gained some confidence as you grown."
there was pride in his words. I nod.
"yes, and it's all thanks to someone very special."
"someone special? who is it?"
younger me leaned in curiosity etched in her voice. younger Vos and Obi-Wan seemed to be curious too.
