chapter 4

Shinichi wakes up and see his surroundings very messy. He was drunk last night and the room is a total disaster, it's like a bad whether just visit their room and left with so much mess. He didn't have time to clean everything and he's going to be late in his job so he took a quick shower and do his daily routine. Afterwards he drives on the way to the building he's working, he parked his car and went straight to his desk. He open his computer and look around.

'Where is she?' He asked himself.

Kaito stands in front of him.

"Hey!" He smiled.

Shinichi looks at Him.

"Morning. Where's Shiho?" Shinichi asked.

"She's actually in her department. She just go here when Jodie asked her to help the agents to do research because You know she's really good using computer and she's a big help to the group."

Shinichi looks back to his computer. Kaito placed a cup of coffee in his desk. He looks at Kaito.

"It's from her. She actually treats me coffee and asked me to hand over your coffee too." Kaito smiled.

"She's being so friendly lately I wonder why..." Kaito added.

Shinichi takes the coffee and sips it.

'It's because she will be leaving Japan soon.' his thoughts.

"Why are you questioning her being friendly towards us? Isn't it great that she actually talk to us and maybe trying to considered us as her friends."

"No. It's really cool! I mean I really wanted to become friends with her because she's cool."

Shinichi chuckled. Kaito sit next to him.

"Are you going to the party?" Kaito whispered.

"No." Shinichi answered.

"Why not? We deserves some fun!"

"I have tons of things I needed to do."

"Like what?" Kaito curiously asked.

Shinichi stares at his eyes but he didn't wanna opened up.

"Sleeping. I need to sleep and rest."

"That's all? You will just sleep? C'mon Shin!"

"Stop bothering me alright I'm busy." Shinichi's eyes went back to his computer screen.

"Damn Shinichi!" Kaito stand up and went back to his desk.

Shinichi didn't wanted to opened up specially about his love life. He always think he can handle it by himself and everyone around him thinks he had a perfect relationship with Ran. When he got fight or argument with his wife he didn't say anything to his friends. This wasn't actually the first time Ran stay at her bestfriend Sonoko's house. She always escaped when they're having some issues. Instead of talking and fixing it she choose to distance herself. He hates it. But he can't do anything about it. He just let Ran to calm down and things will be back to normal like the arguements didn't happened at all.
