2 weeks have passed...

Shinichi and his friends are having lunch in a British restaurant.

"I didn't see her for 2 weeks now." Kaito said.

"Her?" Heiji asked.

"Shiho." Kaito answered.

Shinichi is quietly eating while listening to his friends' conversations.

"I haven't seen her too. I thought I'm the only one who noticed it." Said Heiji.

"Shinichi did she tell you why she's not coming in the lab?" Kaito looks at him.

"No." Shinichi said.

Heiji's eyes were on Shinichi's. He keeps staring at him and then sighed.

"Maybe Shiho is broken?" Heiji suddenly said.

Shinichi immediately looks at giving him the what-the-hell look.

"Shiho is broken? Does she even date anyone? Does she have a boyfriend?" Kaito looks curious.

"Who knows? That woman is very private. But it's just a thought so don't think about it too much." He smiles.

"I hope she's alright." Shinichi said and continue eating.

"You know she's not." Heiji whisper.

"What did you say?" Kaito looks at Heiji.

"Say what?" Heiji gives him a confused look.

"You're so weird." Kaito sips his coffee.

Heiji chuckles.

"Oh by the way... the office ladies from different departments are hella insane! They keep checking out the new scientist." Kaito boredly said.

"New scientist? Must be a dude since you say office ladies from different departments huh? What's special on the new dude?" Heiji curiously asked.

"I heard he's from the USA and he's really good looking according to the girls. And oh! he's not just a scientist but he's also a detective too."

"Really? That's awesome!"

"Yeah!"

"I want to be friends with him since he's famous already." Heiji smiles.

"You only wanted to be friends with him because he's famous to girls... you also wanted the girl's attention."  Shinichi commented.

"You know me really well." Heiji smirked.

After having lunch they parted ways and started to work.

Meanwhile...

"I told you it's not a good idea to come back home while it's still Dad's birthday." Shiho sits down on the ottoman.
