2 days has passed...

Shinichi parked his car outside the building, He headed on the way to the detective's office. He's all alone there and turns on the power supply and clicked his system unit button. He sits down and reading some request files. The door suddenly opens. Shinichi looks in the doorway's direction.

"Good Morning Shinichi!" Kaito greeted. He's smiling widely while staring at Shinichi.

"K-Kaito! What are you doing here? I mean your currently doing the mission right?"

"Yes but and we're done!" Kaito said happily.

"Is that so? Where's Heiji?"

"He's not coming today in the office I think?"

"Ok." Shinichi looks at the computer screen and types his computer password.

Kaito sits down on his chair.

"You owe us."

"Really?" Shinichi asked while busying himself on his computer.

"I know there's an emergency but you still owe us. Just treat us to lunch and that will be good."

"I'm too busy maybe next time?"

"That sucks man! Set aside those paper works and emails. Give your friends some time."

"I'm sorry Kaito but right now I need to finish this and I'm going to investigate a case that Miss Jodie assigned me."

"Bummer!"

"I'm sorry."

They started working and stopped when it's break time. Shinichi left the office immediately, he's now walking in the corridor, He sees her standing nearby and staring at him.

"Ran..."

He walks towards her.

"What are you doing here?" He asks.

"I wanna eat lunch with you so I went here." She smiles.

"Oh..."

"Let's go?"

They exit the building. Kaito sees them leaving together. He went to the nearby restaurant and sees Shiho waiting for him.

"Where's Shinichi?"

"He said he's too busy but I just saw him earlier leaving with Ran."

"With Ran?"

"Yeah, maybe they're having a lunch date."

"I see."

Shiho tries her best not to look disappointed in front of Kaito. He doesn't know what's going on between her and Shinichi, even they're friends she's afraid to tell Kaito about their affair.
