A/N I know these would come at the end but I just want to say for anyone following this story thank you and I'm sorry for the irregular posting- with school and lack of ideas I have been struggling. Also after this part there will be a lot of time jumps as it is just showing minor moments in their lives.

"Where are you going!?"

Alice slammed the door shut and climbed into her waggon. White knuckles clenched around the steering wheel as she charged towards FP's trailer. Hal phoned her.

"You're going to ruin everyone's life!"

"Somethings got to have happened! He wouldn't just leave me like that. We had plans! We were going to be a family!"

"I told you, he doesn't love you - he just wants to make a mockery of you! You embarrass yourself you embarrass me!"

"I need to talk to him..."

Hanging up her new phone, she pulled up outside FP's home. They had spent so many of their days here as children hiding from FP's drunken father. They had spent even longer here and in the car sitting under the sheet when they were together for that brief time.

She pounded on the door, both anxious and angry. Moon grey eyes met chocolate brown ones, both sparkling with sadness.

"Ali-"

"You're not missing, kidnapped or enslaved so what happened?"

"I'm sorry..."

"Sorry isn't a flamin' explanation!"

"I know!"

"I waited 8 hours with no sign, no call, and no explanation. I had a screaming two year old begging for you!"

"I'm sorry," he repeated "I had every intention of coming back and I was so excited but then Gladys came home early!"

"Why didn't you call? I gave you every chance to change your mind but you insisted that we would have our happy ending."

"It's too late... We were too late..."

"What do you mean?" she whispered.

"Gladys..." he began "she's pregnant - it's a boy..."

"You could have told me! I would have been happy for you just as you was for me when I told you I was pregnant with Polly. I would have understood you wouldn't leave your unborn child and I would have been proud of you. Instead you left me waiting and offered no explanation until now!"

"She only told me yesterday - she wanted to wait until she found out the gender."

"You should have called me!" she shouted.

"I'm sorry,"

"Enough with your sorries! I can't take it anymore. I love you and I get hurt, I'm with someone else and I get hurt! There is no winning! Hal was right - all you and the serpents have done is bring me pain."

"And Hal doesn't!? Your so called husband hits you and throws glasses and plates at you and you defend him!"

"Yeah well physical pain is easier to deal with than the emotional turmoil you put me through..."

"You were the one who got married first, who got pregnant first! You were the one who pushed me away for revenge just to spite him and yourself!"

"You know what? Yes I did! I gave up my life, my family, my friends, and the love of my life to get back at the man who destroyed everything. He ruined me!"

"You ruined us! Your ruined our chance at happiness because of your vendetta! I don't see why I should feel bad for having a baby with my wife after two years of marriage!"

"If that's the case maybe we were doomed from the start! Maybe all this was just a figment of my imagination!"

"Then I'm glad it's over! I don't wanna spend the rest of my life in a car crash! I love my wife - you're nothing but a bad habit..."

"Wow..." Alice sobbed and stormed out of her lovers home.

"Wait no Ali! Alice wait please! Baby wait I'm sorry!" he called after her. Sinking to the floor, he held his head in his hands! Desperate pleas fell from his mouth as he longed for her to turn and run back to him.

Alice got back in the waggon and screamed causing the windows to rattle. Fists repeatedly slammed against the steering wheel until red liquid oozed from newly formed cuts on her knuckles.

Salty tears poured from her eyes as she begged for a different life. Their altercation had struck deep within her chest. She was angry and hurting and wanted to lash out at the world around her.

It was never meant to be this way. Not with FP. She got a thrill from arguing with Hal but FP never said anything to hurt her so it hurt all the more when he did. They were meant to be together and happy. She had actually allowed herself to have hope but now she regretted it. Not only had she lost her lover but her life-long best friend too, the man who knew her better than she knew herself!

After ten minutes of sitting in the waggon, she pulled pulled out of the drive and reluctantly headed back to Elm Street.

"Alice I told you not to go. I said he'd hurt you."

"Do want me to say it? 'You were right!' go on, say it! 'I told you so!' go on, do it!" she cried hysterically.

"Who the hell do you think you are talking to!? You might hate my guts but I am still your husband and I demand your respect!"

"I owe you nothing!"

"You're going to learn your place before I put you in it for you!"

"Don't worry your pretty little mind - FP and I are over... The serpents have caused me nothing but pain!"

Hal held her arm in a vice like grip and caused instant bruises. "Don't patronize me!"

"I'm not. The serpents are going down. I've had my life ripped away too many times!"

"Then I'll help. Have no mercy. Don't show any weakness!"

"I won't stop until I've torn the entire Southside down."

"Hell really hath no fury like a woman scorned..."

"Well I'm not one to just roll over when people use me as a door mat."

"I'm going to make this much clear - take my children again and they will never find your remains."

"I'm quaking." she said nonchalantly "I'll do what I want and you'll have to get used to it!"

"Don't say I didn't warn you..."

"I'll be sure to bare it in mind." she replied walking away.

"I'm talking!"

"I'm not listening!"

The man swatted his hand to the side and it collided with her mouth. Dark liquid coated her lips from a small cut that had appeared at the corner of her mouth. Much to Hal's surprise a mocking laugh escaped her busted lips.

"Damn it Alice! Why can't you just keep your mouth shut? You have no filter! You need to get a grip of yourself!"

"F you Hal," she muttered with a vicious smirk.

Hal said through gritted teeth "So - who are we taking down first?"

"Not the serpents - I want that to last... start with the Ghoulies."

"We'll start looking for evidence - Mary won't mind looking after Polly, she'll be glad of the practice for  little Andrews."

"Okay - not the new life I'd imagined but stuff it..."

"They're going down."

It's amazing how strong a force can be when it is fuelled by a mutual hatred.
