(A/N: We're in 2011 in the story and Lili was outed as a lesbian at Carmel)

Kurt placed his hand on my knee,

"Blaine and I have to get back to Mckinley, you stay here and eat something." I nodded as Kurt and Blaine stood up and left the dorm. Wes placed his arm around me,

"I won't force you to eat." I nodded and broke down in tears, Wes began to rub my back,

"Hey, what's wrong?" I shook my head,

"It's nothing." Wes wrapped his arm around me,

"You know you can tell me anything. As long as you don't say you're going to kill yourself I won't tell Kurt." I hugged Wes,

"You promise?" Wes nodded,

"Pinkie promise." I grabbed Wes's pinky, and buried my face in his shoulder,

"I'm nonbinary." My voice was muffled by Wes's shirt, but Wes figured it out,

"Nonbinary? Isn't that they/them pronouns?" I nodded,

"Yeah." Wes hugged me,

"Come here. If anyone finds out or hurts you because of this you let me know right away, okay?" I nodded moving my head off of Wes's shoulder,

"Okay." Wes grabbed my hand,

"Do you want me to correct people who use she/her or wait until you come out?" I shook my head,

"Please, don't." Wes nodded, then checked his phone before grabbing a box out from his dresser drawer,

"Here, open it." I nodded and unwrapped the box, revealing a new iPhone 5,

"Wes." I didn't deserve this phone or the right to live,

"Kurt told me you didn't have a phone, and you need to be able to talk to me without walking here every time." I smiled and hugged Wes,

"Thanks." Wes nodded,

"Sure thing."

-Time jump to later that day, Wes has dropped Lili off at her house, Lili is sitting on her bed, an electronic keyboard is sitting on her bed-

"Blaine," I whispered under my breath marveling at the keyboard. Burt walked downstairs,

"Hey, kiddo." I looked up,

"Hey, sir." Burt sat down at my desk turning my chair to face me,

"Now what did  I tell you about that, you call me dad or Burt. I don't do formalities." I smiled,

"Right, sorry Dad." Burt chuckled,

"You like the keyboard? Blaine helped me pick it out." I nodded,

"I love it, Dad." I stood up and went over by Burt and hugged him,

"Thanks, Dad." Burt wrapped his arms around me,

"Of course kid. Kurt filled me in on what's going on in your head, and I knew I had to step up and show you I am a good dad." I began to cry,

"I love you Dad." Burt noticed I was crying,

"I love you too kiddo. You ever need me, please come find me, okay?" I nodded,

"Kay." Burt pulled out of the hug and started to head back to the stairs. I felt safe, safe enough to come out to Burt,

"Dad?" Burt stopped walking away,

"Whats up Lili?" I looked down at my hands noticing how fidgety I was,

"I'm nonbinary." Burt came and sat down next to me, when he heard my voice break,

"Come here, kid." I placed my head on my Dad's shoulder, "I don't know what nonbinary means, but I can guess that it's something big since your crying again." I hugged Burt,

"Just can you use they/them pronouns for me Dad?" Burt wrapped his arm around me,

"Okay, Lili. But if anybody and I mean anybody gives you crap for this, I will hurt them." I smiled,

"Okay." Burt kissed the top of my head,

"Is there anything you need for this whole being nonbinary thing?" I smiled,

"Eventually, I want to cut my hair and get top surgery." Burt nodded,

"The haircutting I'll allow, but no surgery till your older. Is there a temporary version of top surgery for now?" I nodded,

"I mean binding, but binders are crazy expensive." Burt laughed,

"I'm guessing you don't mean the binders for papers." I nodded,

"Yeah. The kind of binder I want basically compresses my chest to make it flatter." Burt nodded,

"If I got you a binder, would it help your depression?" I nodded,

"Yeah." Burt nodded, then stood up,

"I am going to go find you a binder." Burt went upstairs, Kurt came down,

"Hey." I looked up and then ran over to Kurt,

"Hey, bubba." Kurt laughed,

"You missed me, huh?" I nodded and went back into my bed, Kurt could tell something had happened, "You alright." I nodded,

"Yeah." Kurt looked at me,

"Let me guess, you told dad something big, and Dad's going to get you a cake or something to celebrate it." I laughed,

"I mean you know I won't eat the cake." Kurt sensed I needed some space,

"Ok, well if you want to tell me what happened then just come to my side of the room." I nodded.
