My Roommate is a Girl

Maya cooked a delicious meal just for the two of us..a beautiful girl with the most lovely smile cooked for me and on top of that she's my roommate. I must be the most luckiest person in the world or I must be still hoping a guy would come and say that he's my roommate. Not that I have a problem with it or anything

Kaoru is everything alright? Did you not like the food I cooked? Maya asked in a sad tone.

What..oh no everything is fine Maya and I loved your food it was really delicious. I said with a smile.

That's good I'm so happy that you liked it Kaoru! Maya said with that lovely smile of hers that can bright up the room.

I'm so lucky to have the most beautiful girl as my roommate! I thought to myself. So Maya what are you majoring here.?

Culinary Arts and baking. What about yourself? What are you majoring here? Maya asked with a smile.

Fashion Designer. I said with a grin.

Oh that's great..but forgive me for asking this question and please don't take offense to it but are you gay? Or are you in the closet? Maya asked in a curious tone.

I felt myself get shocked by invisible lighting but I quickly shook my head. No I'm not gay nor in the closet. I'm straight and love girls.

Oh that's good to hear...I'm sorry for asking that question out the blue I just never heard most guys say that they want to be a fashion designer unless there super guy or in the closet which by the way I have no problem with people who are that way I think they are cool People. Maya said with a grin.

It's alright I can understand why you would ask that question. I said with a grin as well.

But may I ask what made you want to become a fashion designer? Maya asked.

Well my mom is a famous designer and she always made marvelous clothes and I've always been amazed on how she can come up with new ideas for designer clothes. So that's why I want to become a fashion designer so I can sell my own line of clothing and accessories.

Wow that's amazing to hear Kaoru! Maya said in awe.

What about you Maya? What made you take up cooking and baking? I asked.

Well my dad loved to cook for me and my brother and sister and I would be right next to him learning how to cook just like him so every time he was in the kitchen he would teach me how to make different things. So I wanna be the best chef in the world so i can cook just like him. Maya said with a big smile.

Wow well from what we just had it was very delicious so I know your gonna be perfect. I said with confidence.

You really believe in me that much Kaoru? Maya asked

I do. I said holding her hands. Whenever you need someone to taste your cooking I'll be right here.

Maya giggled and gave the cutest smile I've ever seen. Thank you Kaoru!

She's so cute!!! I thought to myself.

It's still kinda early do you want to go shopping with me we can get some more plates and cups and mugs and other things we need for our dorm. Maya asked.

Sure I don't mind lets get going before it gets dark. I said getting up from the table. And headed out the door with Maya in front of me. We went to the nearest store close to the campus and we brought stuff for our bathrooms and kitchen and a few extra stuff. Shopping with Maya was kinda fun and she always had a smile on her face. When we finished shopping we headed back to our dorm.

So Maya you mentioned that you had a brother and a sister. So does that mean your the oldest in your family? I asked while walking inside our dorm building.

No I'm the second oldest my brother is the oldest who's in the army and then it's my little sister who's in middle school now. Maya said. Do you have any siblings Kaoru?

Yeah I have a twin brother name hikaru. We were always together growing up but he's a little immature for a older brother but when were together we always have fun. In high school we used to be in a host club and we would always play a game with the girls called the which one is hikaru game. I said opening the dorm door.

Oh wow sounds like you two were inseparable. Maya said walking inside. Do you guys still look alike? Or did you change your looks.

No hikaru dyed his hair brown but we still act the same when we're together. I said taking out the stuff we borough from the store out the bags.

Aw that's so sweet. Maya said with a giggle while fixing some tea for the two of them.

What about your parents? I heard you talk about your dad but I haven't heard you say anything about your mom? I said putting the utensils and plates away.

My mom passed away a few years ago after she had my little sister. Maya said pouring the hot water in the new mugs.

I stopped and looked at Maya I felt so bad for asking her about her mother. I'm so sorry I shouldn't have asked you that.

Maya shook her head. It's alright Kaoru it doesn't bother me to talk about my mom. So don't be hard on yourself. I'm happy to tell you anything about her. Maya said with a beautiful smile on her face.

She's always smiling and she keeps a positive attitude about everything. She really is a beautiful girl in the world. We talked some more getting to know each other and when it over Maya gave me a hug good night and we both went to sleep for the school day.
