Today was my birthday so I invited few of my friends and told Cop to invite some too.. It's just a basic pool party with few drinks, loud music, and foods.
I went to the kitchen to refil the barbeque when I noticed a weird boy..
"Hi, why are you here alone?"
"I went but not in the mood to party, so I'll just help out.."
I was surprised to see one of Ter's invited guest washing the plates and cleaning the garbages.. He even scrubbed the mess on the floor..
"Come on bro~ your same age friends were screaming the hell out of their life in the pool.. Try to grab some drinks and enjoy.."
I walked to him and he stared straight to the window as he whispered.
"Enjoy.."
Our kitchen window's view is the pool. I turned my attention to his line of sight and, it was Bas and Cop flirting and eating in the beach seat..
"What's wrong?"
"Uhm.. Nothing.."
He then turned away to wipe the kitchen counter.. I started to have a feeling that there's something in him. He's acting indifferent..
"I'm Ter's brother.."
He returned his attention back to me..
"I know.."
"So, are you and Bas are good friends?"
He paused..
"Don't dare to dismiss my question.."
"Why asking about Bas?"
"I'm pretty sure my brother didn't notice yet but Bas is different.."
He glanced away and uneasiness then filled his face.
"He's uncomfortable with you, right?"
"Bas is nice.."
"But hostile towards you.."
"I have to lea--"
"Don't go.. I'm not saying you can't like my brother.."
He stiffened because obviously, he was caught..
The way he stared at them.. The way he still went even if he's uncomfortable.. The way he tried to clean the kitchen..
If he's after Bas, he doesn't have to bother himself attending a stranger's birthday party.
"Have you talk since you arrived?"
"Bas won't let me close.."
He huffed..
My baby bro already mentioned that he met someone who's kind of different from his other friends.. Since Bas was the only bestfriend he had before, who's now his boyfriend.. Ter felt like he lose a friend in a different way. So when he told me he met someone new who shares the same interest with him, I was glad..
But now, after meeting that friend.. Well, since he's the only new face here.. I figured, my brother, again, didn't notice of this kid's growing admiration.
"You know your boundaries, right?"
"Yeah.."
"Good.. I don't have to tell you what to do, but if you cause problems to my brother.."
I darted my eyes to him.
"Make sure you already dug your own grave."
I decided to just walk away and let him understand my words when he retorted..
"I'll still protect, respect and love him in silence and distance so please.. please.. please allow me to care for him."
I was surprised..
"What?"
"Please don't tell him.. Please.. Let me stay by his side.."
Strange boy..
"What is your name again?"
He started to hesitate..
"Just answer.."
"K-Kimmon.."
"Fine.. Okay Kimmon.. That's a deal. Just No Troubles. Okay?"
He smiled so genuinely. Doesn't he look so stupid?? I don't think Bas will let him close.. That boy is smart.. or I guess, my brother is just too dumb when in terms to other's feelings towards him..
"So stay here and clean the kitchen. I want to get drunk and I'm lazy."
He nodded excitedly and picked up the empty trays and refilled it..
Well.. Having a cleaner in the house doesn't sound bad.
