Chapter Five = Blood And Exhaustion

Brianne sat on the couch struggling to keep her breathing even.

"I'm okay," she told Natali.

"Are you sure?"

Brianne nodded, and looked over at Katy.

"I'm sure she'd tell us if it hurts," Katy piped. "Right Brianne?"

"Right."

"Well... Ok, if you're sure," Natali didn't sound so sure.

They all sat around quietly after a bit Milli asked if they wanted to play a board game before they had to leave.
Katy asked Natali if they were allowed and after getting the ok, she agreed. Kitty and Brianne joined in too. Milli ran and grabbed YAHTZEE.

Oki and Natali said they'd play next round, but Mark said he'd join in.
Milli handed out the sheets. Everyone wrote their name at the top.

Oki and Natali went out into the hallway.

"Natali," Oki whispered, "I'm not sure she is ok."

"What makes you say that?"

"Well, it's just that... I can't be sure but I thought I smelt blood."

"Unless she trusts us enough to tell us I don't see how much we can do."

"Milli can you show me where the toilet is?" Brianne asked.

"Sure," Milli piped. "Set the next game up we'll be back.

Natali and Oki joined the others on the floor.

Oki glanced up and noticed Brianne's outfit. She was wearing black jean shorts under black tights, with a white tee and a purple jacket tied around her waist.

But it wasn't the outfit that caught her eye.

It was the red patch the size of a tooth on the white material.

She kept quiet.

Milli... Did not.

"Brianne!? Are you okay?"

Brianne jumped. "Yeah- Yeah... I'm fine why?"

"Your back is bleeding..."

"It- it is?"

"Yeah."

"I'll have a look after I've gone to the bathroom."

Milli showed her to the bathroom and she returned to the lounge area. Right away she noticed how uncomfortable Katy and Kitty were.

When Brianne came out she had her jacket on, she looked at Katy, and spoke in a foreign tongue.

"Oatw, Oittw, lu havu a cexnsuz."

Milli had never head such a language. Or anything that even sounded like it. Obviously Kitty and Katy had though because both looked up alarmed.

"Brianne? " Kitty asked.

"Is something the matter?" Natali asked.

"Uhm... No," Katy replied her voice shaking.

"I can help if there is."

"N-nothing's the matter," she said again, and turned to Kitty. "Kitty can you help her?"

Kitty got up, "Brianne, it's okay..." she spoke softly.

"Kx!" Brianne cries.

"Excuse us," Kitty said and guided Brianne outside via the front door.

Milli stared at Katy, "What just happened?"
