*Hiroshi's Pov*
Mount Fuji...
Known to be Rising to 12,388 feet (3,776 metres), Mount Fuji is said to be the tallest mountain in Japan and is known for its graceful conical form. It is the country's sacred symbol, and temples and shrines are located around and on the volcano.
A lot of people had once said that Mount Fuji can be seen from the Tokaido Shinkansen between Tokyo and Osaka.
When coming from Tokyo no less...
Which is true because the
mountain appears on the right side of the train and is best viewed around Shin-Fuji Station, about 40-45 minutes into the journey.Nora: Are you sure we should be climbing Mount Fuji? I heard a lot of accident deaths happend here to many climbers.
Kuro: That was years ago, I believe. Over the years. Mount Fuji has changed to now what seems to be a tourist attraction.
Me: If the Inari Shrine is one of it's sacred shrines here...Then we better find it...quickly...
Ruri...We're almost there...
Kuro: Remember everyone. If you see the Kunekune. Look away quickly and get away from it as far as possible...
Nora: Yes...the last thing we want is any of us going insane.
Ari: Especially you Bon. Knowing you...You can't even make a good decision with that head of yours.
Bon: *Bitter* Thanks for the heads up...I'll keep that in mind, Miss Doctor who doesn't have a boyfriend at her age.
Both of them glared at each other...
Yep...these two have some history going on...
An ex couple maybe...?
*Woof*
Eh?
*Woof*
Ari: Huh?
I looked over and once again saw that strange dog with the black fur and red eyes from before. The strange dog was staring at me.
Nora: A dog?
Ari: Awww how cute~!
Bon: You think that's cute?! What's he doing here anyway...?
Kuro: Hmm...How perculiar...
Me: Perculiar?
Kuro-san looks at me with unexplained expression. He knows something that I don't.
Kuro: How long as this dog been following you?
Me: Since the Aoyama Cemetery...Why?
Kuro: I see....Correct me if I'm wrong but could be two reasons why the dog is following you...
Me: Which are?
Kuro: The dog is either possessed by a spirit or maybe a spirit itself.
Me: ...Eh?
Is that...even possible...? If Kamishiro was here. She most definitely would say it's possible while Himeno will call it bullshit.
Ari: I believe in that theory...
Bon: How could you both be sure. It could be just a normal wild dog...So, Isn't it actually impossible for spirits to possess animals? As far as I know, in order to possess a person they must either allow it or be tricked into it.
Sure since animals can't talk, it'd be impossible for spirits to seduce them, at least not in the same way they can seduce people.
*Woof*
I looked at the dog...No...That dog isn't an ordinary dog. Something is telling me it isn't...
Kuro: I don't think so. That only works if the spirit is a demon. I get the feeling the dog is acting as a guide. It may want you to follow it.
Me: Really?
Nora: No matter who you are, where you come from, or what your life looks like, you could have spirit guides sending you helpful messages. And yours seems to be taking in the form of a dog.
Me: Yeah....
Also...is it me or does that dog look familar...
Me: He...kind of looks like statue of the dog buried in the Aoyama Cemetery.
Ari: You mean...Hachiko-kun?
Me: Yeah. That dog.
Bon: Are you serious? Are you saying that this dog could possibly be the spirit of Hachiko that's following you?
*Bark*
The dog spoken again as if in affirmation. It alarmed me and the adults present.
Kuro: I knew it...
Bon: What the hell?! What's with this guy. He acts like he understands what we're talking about!
*Bark*
Nora: It barked again! Maybe it does understand what we're saying...
Me: But here's one question...why is Hachiko following me?
Nora: I have a theory...Like our other theory about it being a spirit guide, it may want to show you something...or at least protect you from Hannya.
Ari: Or maybe...You resembled it's former master in a way...Interesting~!
Me: Hmmm...
I looked at the dog. He seems to be waiting for me...
Me: Do you...want to show me something...?
Hachiko: *Woof*!
Me: Could you please lead the way?
The dog dived into the bushes and starts walking up the hill. He looked back at me before continuing.
Kuro: Well what do you know. He does want you to follow.
Me: Alright then...Let's follow Hachiko-kun.
....
We followed Hachiko down the trail. Bon although was beginning to get impatient.
Bon: Where is that dog taking us?
Me: I think...He's leading us to the Inari Shrine...?
Bon: He better....
Kuro: Have patience Bon.
Bon: Tch.
It's annoying that we have him on our investigation. But we did brought him around so we can go to certain places and have him help get certain dialogue.
We were now further deep into a new entrance of the hill. We reached the rice fields and we're now near a small shrine.
Kuro: We're here...
I didn't see Hachiko anymore...but I know this is place he was bringing us...
We're finally here...
The Inari Shrine...
