*Hiroshi's Pov*

We had gone deeper into the cemetery.

Kamishiro still had an look of fear and excitement in-between her features.

Yamada was trying his best not to go crazy without feeling on edge.

Me: Kamishiro. I don't see anybody.

She made a pout of disappointment. Like she was expecting the ghost to pop up any minute.

Kaede: Maybe Gashadokuro Hakamori is a shy ghost...?

Me: A shy ghost that can invade your homes and kill people? Does that make any sense?

Kaede: In retrospect, no. But...Ghost will harm you if you provoke them?

Yuma: So I still can't blow them up?

Me: No. Yamada.

Kaede: Well...you could if they have a physical appearance.

Yuma: Sweet!

Me: Don't encourage him. He's been waiting to bash some skulls for quite some time.

Yuma: Hey hey. Don't mark me like I'm some serial killer.

Kaede: This kind of reminds of another ghost tale.

Oh great. Here we go.

Kaede: There were also rumors about a ghost of a serial killer. Which was another famous story that tells of a group of youths who visited the cemetery late at night for a test of courage, but were then dragged into another world by said killer.

Yuma: Holy Shit! Are you serious?!

Kaede: There are supposedly several locations around the cemetery that link to a different world, but no-one knows for sure where they are exactly. If you’re going to the cemetery at night, be careful! You might not return…

Yuma: Damn! That's wicked!

Kaede: I know! Isn't that exciting?! Travelling to one parallel world to the next! The universe is full of many mysteries waiting to be unlocked!

Yuma: Hell yeah! That sounds really exciting! Better than this boring planet!

...

These two. Why am I not surprised they would bond over something like this. They're both crazy!

Me: Anyway. Maybe we could find some clues in Aoyama Cemetery or about Tomoki.

Kaede: Alright. Let's do that. Anything that could tie us to the spirit.

I turned on my phone to flashlight mode.

I then started to scan the area looking for clues.

"Bark!"

Me: Hey. What the?

The three of us turned our heads and saw a big animal with black fur and red eyes staring at us.

Kaede: Awwww. Puppy!

Yuma: You call that a puppy?! That's a big ass dog!

Indeed. It was a dog. Or at least I think it was.

How long have that dog been there...? How long has it been watching us?

Kaede: It doesn't look like a guard dog.

It surprised me a little that it wasn't.

The dog doesn't even look hostile for some reason. It just...gave a weird stare.

It felt...ominous...

Suddenly, the dog then dived into thr bushes and took off.

Yuma: Well that was weird.

Me: I'll say. What's a dog doing here in a cemetery?

Kaede: Do you boys think it's...a spirit?

Me:....I'm not even sure...

Maybe. Maybe not.

It could be just an ordinary dog that was looking for it's owner. But then again. The way it looked at me.

.....

Why do I get the feeling that dog was trying to warn us...?

.....

I get the feeling this won't be the last time I'll see it again.

Me: Let's forget about that dog for now.

We continued walking down the pathway.

I shined my flashlight all around.

Yuma: Hey dude!

Me: Yeah...

Yuma: I think I found something...

I walked over to where Yamada was at. He took residence near a old tomb.
A paper was in his hand as he looked confused.

Me: Can I see that?

He gave me the paper. I shined the flashlight on it to get a better view.

1943, a veteran solider went missing. Once a former member of a division whose ranks were devastated in fierce battles with US forces towards the end of the war. However, crewmates claimed they haven't seen nor heard from him.

Me: What the heck?

Kaede: Oh. I heard of that. That happend a long time ago. Japanese soliders going missing after WWII.

Me: But the war ended over a century ago.

Kaede: That's why things right now are very confusing.

Yuma:....

Me: Yamada?

He was strangely quiet. He's never this quiet.

Yuma: I think I might know something about the missing soldiers...

This surprised both me and Kamishiro.

Me: Really?!

Yuma: Yeah. Back then, when I was little. My old man once told me a story about...soldiers being used as experiments...
