at this point i'm just writing through the pain of periods. rip me 2021 </3
"w-what's that..?", hinata questioned as kageyama sheepishly extended the box to reveal its contents.
a little keychain, bracelets, chocolate and a little sticky note with neatly written font on top were blinding hinata's eyes as he took in the sight of confession stuff from bitches.
"oh, so you're suddenly very popular?", sakusa chuckled sarcastically as hinata gave him a little snappy nudge.
"who says i'm popular?"
"that girly. didn't say it, meant it instead."
"what if it's just a cheap makeup for missing out unnecessary occasions kageyama participated in as well?", hinata suggested as kageyama gave a slight nod of approval and sakusa shook his head disappointedly.
"don't think that ain't serious", the curly haired male teased once again.
"i don't think, i know", the smaller male snapped back as the little argument went on. after a lot of bickering and raising the tone of the conversation, kageyama audibly sighed and drew the attention to himself to take advantage of the situation.
"that girl confessed to me in this letter", kageyama now stated as both of the males opposite him listened carefully.
"which letter", sakusa rather exclaimed than asked. the surprise in his voice was embarrassingly audible.
kageyama grumbled as he swiftly pulled out the letter out of his jeans pocket. handing over the little letter, he quickly adverted his eyes from hinata's reaction to prevent the awkward tension to rise too soon. (to to too toooooooo 😩)
the latter stared perplexed at the letter in his hands as his fingers unfolded the neat piece of paper cautiously. finally, after an eternity of unfolding sounds, rustling, awkward tension and light grunts from kageyama, the letter lied straightened in hinata's grip as the latter read the words written on the piece of paper.
along the lines of "never felt this way before" and "would you receive my feelings?" hinata stopped halfway through the text and took in a deeeeeeeep breath.
"this seems a little too personal, kageyama", hinata grumpily mumbled while folding the letter back into its original form.
"please.. just read the letter at home or whenever/wherever you'd preferably like to.", kageyama nearly begged with a frustrated expression plastering his otherwise stupidly pretty face.
"fiNE", hinata gave in as he crumbled the letter in his back pocket and sighed loudly. "is that what i should help you with?"
"yes..", kageyama mumbled as he slightly stretched, making any movement possible to avoid just standing there like an idiot.
"i'll text you when i've read it?", were the last words of hinata before sakusa started dragging him along and sheepishly waved their goodbye to kageyama.
after an eternity of getting dragged along, hinata freed himself from sakusa's grip and snapped at him furiously. "what was that for?!"
"i felt bad", sakusa admitted and covered his masked mouth in slight embarrassment. he wasn't used to caring about anybody's business or their decisions. this time he just felt pure guilt and pity rise up within him.
"bad? for what?"
