Chapter 10

A/N: Hello again my loves! I truly apologize if this feels all over the place 😅.

Also just a quick run down, last december i was diagnosed with Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and While i've doing my treatments for them, i was told that COPD is a terminal illness and that people with COPD has a life expectancy of 5 years. I will have my first heart surgery next week and we were told that since I have a lung disease, the risk of mortality is higher and so are the surgical risks. I'm fucking terrified lol

So here's an early chapter in case if I go missing again for a while or worse if I end up dead with this whole thing.

I really suck at writing fluff so i'm ready to go back to angst.

It always managed to amuse him, the way people would wake up each morning, the way they would each go about their day, he often wondered how many people he passed on a daily basis who were battling ugly demons of their own, he wondered if it would always be like that, he wondered if the genuine faces of people would always remain a mystery.. he had once been the same way, when he spent seven long years hiding from his own family, fear crawling through his veins each passing day that someone would see him and recognise him easily, that they would know who he really was..

But then the reality of life had hit him hard on a bright day, the truth that he always wanted to avoid had found him in the form of the group of people who he was desperately trying to hide from, the life as he knew was unmercifully ripped away from him, within the span of a day he was forced to face his worst fear, until things had come to a head and the entire script of his life had changed drastically, he never thought that there would be a day he would be so open and playful with his own brother let alone to get a chance to be close to the man who made his heart sing,

A gentle nudge on his shoulder brought him out of his day dreaming as he turned around to face the man, who had accompanied him in his hunt for a preferable university,

The two of them had been at it the whole day, seeing as Lan Wangji was always an early riser, he had taken the liberty of pulling the younger man out of bed, dressed and out of the house in record time.

"It's the last one for the day"

The Lan heir chuckled even before his whining began,

Wei Wuxian let out a sigh as the two of them got out of the car and walked towards the entrance side by side..

Life was truly good to him, the younger Wei thought as he stepped out of the building with Lan Wangji in tow, their meeting with the Dean had gone smoother than he expected, but it did not surprise him, there was not a single person in the entire city who didn't know the man dressed from head to toe in an expensive pearl white suit.. which he confirmed just as they had walked inside the Dean's office if the man's facial expressions were anything to get by.

"A-Zhan.. I'm hungry"

He offered him his best puppy eyed look, earning a small smile from the man who swiftly ordered the driver to what he remembered as the younger Wei's favourite restaurant when they were younger, while Lan Wangji knew that there was a higher chance that Wei Wuxian's taste might have changed, he desperately hoped that the younger man would still have a special spot for their favourite restaurant.. but he didn't have to wait for too long to find out as the pure happiness of his Wei Ying's face at the sight of the place confirmed his earlier thoughts.
