The day had started off weirdly for the youngest Lan, he had felt that something was wrong from the moment he had opened his eyes but he could not pinpoint where or what exactly had gone wrong. But his gut feeling about something being off had been proven to be correct when his brother-in-law had come to collect him from his room to attend an urgent in-family meeting in his office, walking in, he was met with the strained atmosphere where all the other heirs were also gathered around, once he was seated alongside his brother, Jiang Cheng began to speak,
"This is the fifth time this week Jin Guangshan requested for a meeting and frankly, more than irritation this is getting suspicious. He was never interested in any meetings before but now he suddenly wants to meet us and for what? We don't deal with Lanlin anymore"
Lan Wangji felt the hairs on the back of his neck standing up at the uncomfortable feeling as he suddenly understood why everyone was on edge, he did not like the idea of Jin Guangshan anywhere near the three families even before the death of Jiang Yanli, the man was a duplicitous asshole at best. But now with the younger Wei around, he felt that something was definitely off somewhere..
"Do you think he knows about Wei Wuxian?"
It was Nie Mingjue who voiced the thought everyone else was thinking about, but the single thought itself was enough to send an unsettling feeling running on his spine. It was not recent news about Jin Guangshan's obsession with younger men and neither was his scandalous activities that involved younger men.
"I do remember Wangji informing me that Jin Zixun and Jin Guangyao being here one day when something about A-Ying came up..... so maybe he has caught word about it?"
The tension in the large office space gradually threatened to suffocate them all, it was no secret that Wei Wuxian was indeed someone that was precious to all three families and they had done their best to keep him away from Jin Guangshan's eyesight as best as they could as soon as the boy had entered into his teen years, but somewhere in Lan Wangji's mind, a sinister thought kept bugging him about the whole situation,
"Had they not done enough to keep his Wei Ying away from Jin Guangshan?"
He felt bad for his best friend, not only had he lost his sister but the current situation with Jin Guangshan may or may not knowing about Wei Wuxian being back was sure to eat his mind inside out,
"We can't say that for sure Chao-ge. But if we were to think from that perspective, it might make things very difficult if he sets his eyes on A-Xian. He's only getting used to being back and the thought of having to spring something like this on him seems unfair, after all he wasn't brought back here by his choice"
