Wake Up (Law X Reader)

Hello! Firstly I apologize, I lost my account for sometime and it took forever to find a way to have it back. I'll give you a little special chapter for the inconvenience.

-----6 YEARS LATER-----

There was noise, loud enough to wake him up, he had a long shift the night prior and he had tried to sleep as much as possible before his next surgery, so when weird noises began coming from outside the bedroom he frowned and reached for you so you could solve the problem but the bed was empty. He growled before standing up, stretching and yawning he slowly made his way to the door, opening it just to see a little girl holding a cupcake on her hand with her face full of chocolate.

-Hi- she said very politely despite her messy face

-Hello, do you happen to know where your mother is?-he asked, the little girl took a bite of her cupcake and pointed to the kitchen- thank you- he said offering his hand to the girl that she took, both walking slowly to the kitchen where you were cooking- why is there so much noise?- his voice scared you, almost making you drop what you were carrying

-Oh my, I'm so sorry I was trying to be as quiet as possible but the pan fell- you said with a very worried face- I'm sooo sorry I just wanted you to...

-Mom and I did something for you- the little girl said letting go from Law's hand to go towards you, she sneakily took a box out of a drawer and both you and her presented him with a little gift, you cooked his favorite meal while Lami had chosen the gift

-Congratulations on your 3,000 surgery!- both said still not very loudly because of Law's tiredness. His face immediately relaxed and he couldn't help but to smile a little, he himself didn't count his surgeries but apparently you did.

-Well, thank you so much- he said kneeling to receive his daughter's gift- did you choose this for me?- he asked, she nodded while he unwrapped it only to reveal a fancy watch- did she really pick it?

-She has my taste- you joked giving him a wink, she had his taste, in fact Lami was almost an exact copy of Law to the exception that she did like bread, people and didn't want to be a doctor because she didn't like blood- Bepo also has something for you- you said calling the dog who carried something on his back, another little gift that Lami had picked. As soon as Bepo entered the room Lami ran to him, and walked besides her, the big dog was like her older brother and she was very fond of him

-A certificate...- he said opening the gift- Best Dad?- he looked at her daughter, although it didn't show sometimes she had your personality all over her, it was just a little hard to see it sometimes- come here bear- he said calling Lami who accepted her father's hug kindly

-Don't let me out of this- you said hugging them as well before Bepo decided he also wanted to join the group hug, jumping towards you and making you all fall into the ground- We should take Bepo on a walk honey- Lami nodded- go back to sleep, I'll be back in an hour so rest in the mean time

-I'll go with you- Law said, he couldn't go back to sleep after what you had planned for him, and it had been sometime since he got to play outside with Lami, although Lami wasn't much for playing in the park, she did liked very much when Law accompanied her.

She didn't even hesitate to put her rain boots on, something that she didn't like very much because she liked not wearing shoes, but for her father she'll do it anytime. You couldn't help but to smile seeing Law himself getting ready to go out, you appreciated when things like this happened, he was a good father with a lot to give but not much time so whenever he had sometime he loved spending it with you two and Bepo of course.

-Can I take Bepo?- Lami asked, Law didn't even hesitate and gave Bepo away to Lami that despite his large size compared to her was very patient and calm around her, like a responsible big brother- you are so soft Bepo- she said petting the dog as they walked to the park

-I'm surprised Sachi and Penguin didn't appear in the apartment- Law said knowing those two were sure up to something, they took every chance to take make parties of take him out to do something, so he was glad that they hadn't showed up so far

-They tried to come- you said awkwardly- I had to lie to them telling them your next surgery was the 3,000 one... so expect a party- he sighted but held your hand as you walked, it was his way of saying thank you as he now had at least an idea of what they were planning

-Lami stay nearby- Law said as you both sat in a bench in front of the playground, Lami nodded and began playing with Bepo who would chase her around while playing with other children in there- what?- he asked after catching you staring at him,  you chuckled as you were only seeing his eyes

-Nothing- you said placing your head on his shoulder- its just that you are so handsome...- he raised an eyebrow and smirked at your comment rubbing his thumb on your hand to reassure you

-I wouldn't mind getting another gift- he teased making you roll your eyes at his idea, it wasn't a bad idea though- Ikkaku can be our nannie ...- before he could continue with the insinuations you stood up very suddenly and ran toward the playground, Law took a second to realize that Lami had fell, but in Lami's fashion she wasn't crying and just sat in the ground

-What's wrong?- you asked while Law followed you behind, you kneeled to observe what had happened, you learned how to check her up thanks to Law who despite not working with children knew how to.

-It fell- both Law and you panicked by her words, what fell? A finger? A leg!?- my tooth

-Oh...- you sighted in relief and so did Law who was sure he would die if something were to happen to Lami- you know what it means?- she shook her head- that means the tooth fairy is going to come at night, take your tooth and leave you money when you are asleep

-I don't want a stranger to steal my tooth- she said rather offended

-She is not a stranger, she does that to every kid because she likes making kids happy- you said trying to convince her to take it in a good way- you can buy stuff with the money she leaves you

-Okay...- she said kind of bummed out for some reason

-Give it to me, I'll take care of it until we get home- Law said offering his hand where Lami placed her little tooth. Law placed the tooth in his coat and carried Lami on her back- let's get ice cream, okay?- Lami nodded happy, leaving you and Bepo as spectators of the adorable scene.

-Come on Bepo, I want Ice cream too- you said catching up to them.

-Can I get down?- Lami asked Law who put her down a little confused, she liked when he gave her a piggy ride but she took his hand and yours, wanting to walk with both of you. He couldn't help but to share your smile, seeing Lami happily walking with you two just melt his heart.
