Your hands were shaking. You slowly got the key on the keyhole and turned, hearing the click of the door you pushed it. Everything was just like when you left, the living room full of papers, the kitchen with an empty bowl that never got to touch food, the bathroom with the towel on the floor and your room with the red box still waiting on your bed, the one you never got to open.

What seemed to be a warm feeling turned into and overwhelming one. While you were picking up your pieces of paper from the small living room you found the yellow one, as soon as you recognized you thread it to shreds. That piece of paper had been the problem that got you to where you were

A Sunday night 8 months ago you received a letter. You would be lying if you said that you didn't want to received it, it was your dream since you were a child but you never thought you would receive it the way you did. You opened it right away when you read who had send it to you, hoping to find a name and a reason inside just to discover you would never get one because that person had passed away. You threw everything in the air in anger and desperation, you punched a wall that only helped you realize that it was a bad idea to punch one. As soon as you managed to calm down a little you called your boss, both him and his wife offered you comfort so you decided to drive there even thought they had told you to take a cab, but you didn't listen

You had just left you apartment a few minutes ago, trying to hold your mind enough to keep driving. You had stopped twice to scream at yourself but kept going as soon as you were done. It was raining, but not that heavy, you could see clearly enough to see the green light ahead, but apparently the other driver didn't

-tweet tweet- the little bird called you, returning your mind to your present day. You took the pieces of paper and placed them on the counter of your kitchen to attend the little bird

-Are you thirsty little boy?- you said while filling a cap with water for the bird- here, let me find you a better place to rest...-you put the cap on the box and then you opened one of your cabinets were a pretty box of cookies was, they were expired so you took them out and placed the bird in his new box with the tap with water too- now... what do you eat?

Seeds? What kind? Does he need worms? Worms? Worms. Disgusting. Maybe bread? Your mind kept working, trying to figure out what to do. Looking on the internet didn't help much; everyone had an opinion on what to give the bird and the best result was bird food that was too expensive and not even on the country

-tweet- the bird said

-You're right, I think I have some in the top cabinet- you opened the cabinet and with the help of a chair you got a bag of sunflower seeds that you happened to hand and gave some to the bird- are you feeling better?

The bird didn't tweet, it was concentrated eating. You wondered how much time would it take the bird to fly again, you wanted to see it fly and find its own way far away from here. The yellow pieces of paper called your attention from the corner of your eye, you tried to ignore it but the more they stud there the more upset you got to the point of grabbing them and tossing them into the thrash, for a second you thought about burning it but just like that you took it from the bin and tried to piece it together again

Stressed and not knowing what to do you took the phone and called your top contact, who you assumed to be Norma

-Hello? - but that was not Norma's voice. You checked your phone and saw Law's name, you forgot you had called him to see if his number was real- Hello?

-Damn it...- you cursed as low as you could trying to hang up

-Y/N-ya? - you almost dropped your phone- miss me already?

-H-hello Dr. Tra-a... Law-you heard him smirk- I-I.... how are you doing? - you composed yourself the best that you could

-Good, how are you settling? - he acted like he didn't know you were freaking out

-It's weird- that question made you think, you forgot you were talking to Law- it's like being home, but it's not... is like going back to a memory but not really- you looked at the yellow paper and read it again: "Social services"- It's like continuing watching a movie I left halfway unseen

-I'll get better Y/N-ya- he tried to comfort you the best he could- I can't promise I'll be just as it used to be, but it all depends on you

-Thanks Law... thats what I needed to hear- the little bird tweeted again making you smile- sorry for calling you... you might be busy; I called the wrong number...

-I thought so- he chuckled- but I'm glad to see you are doing... okay- you tried not to blush even though no one was seeing you- call me whenever you get the chance to check up on you, we can still have our... date

-I know... just let me settle in a little more- you chuckled- thank you again Law

-Your welcome, have a good night Y/N-ya

-You too- you hanged up

Law looked around the empty room. He was sitting on the same single couch he had spent a month in and two weeks looking after you, Law had been there for a while now. As soon as he finished working, he found himself walking to room 207, he had been in the couch for 15 minutes when you called him. It was a surprise for him but he wasted no time answering. But no, he felt like he could leave, the room was going to get someone else soon anyway. He took his portfolio and exited the room, hoping for that to be the last time he entered that place.
