"Is hunter in today?"

"Hunter who?"

"Robson, hunter robson. " I urged the stuck up receptionist. He hadn't been in for about a week... Since Addison left him, with my boyfriend.

"I can't disclose that to you, I'm afraid. " She rolled her eyes at me. It took me everything not to leap over that very desk and strangled her.

"What's the point in asking his last na-"

"Miss Franco," I shut my mouth quickly upon hearing the icy tone bounce from the walls. That cold aura was back, I turned to him.

"Sorry, miss Roberts, she's had a rough week, " his lips curved into a smile, one that didn't reach his eyes at all, as he addressed her. Of course she flushed under his gaze and forgot all about my rudeness.

"This way," his eyes were on me now, dark brown orbs that seemed to look straight through me. I followed him down the corridors, though the cafeteria where I caught many curious glances, and to the science corridor. Where his office was located.

"36. " Was all he uttered when we made it into the room. I raised an eyebrow confused as he turned to me.

"36 what? "

"Lessons until your exam,"

"Ah,"

"Yes, ah. If you carry on skipping you're going to fail. You've missed 8 lessons already. And no, this isn't school it's not the law to attend, but I'd like you to!" We stood facing each other for a silent second, his chest was heaving from his quick outburst. I was slightly taken aback. Even 8 months back, when I thought he was the bad guy, he had never seemed so... Aggressive...

"I'm sorry, " i said finally, looking to the floor.

"You've missed so much, it's going to take a lot to get you back on track now without extra lessons. " He seemed to be talking to himself now, furrowing his eyebrows as he looked to his class schedule on the wall behind me.

"So, why don't we just do extra lessons?"

"I'm not silly, Cassie, you've been skipping all along so you can avoid me. It'd do now good, " I looked up now, into his eyes that held a dull kind of pain I frowned.

"I know, but-" the bell rang, cutting me off.

"Fire alarm," brendon muttered, looking to me confused, "a system trail wasn't due for today..."

"Which bell is it?" I asked, keeping my panic at bay. Although with the anxiety radiating from him it was pretty difficult. My mind raced.

"Well," he hesitated, "every department has a different fire alarm sound. This one just so happens to be the science department..."

I swallowed the lump in my throat and looked at brendon, "is there a chance that-"

"That I didn't know about the trail? No, most certainly not. " He answered sternly, looking me straight in the eye. Well I could believe that. I rushed to the door, closing my hand around it.

"No! " Brendon screamed, causing me to jolt away from the door, but I still managed to wrench it. However, it didn't budge. He scooped my up from the floor, giving me the once over. It gave me chills as I remember the escapade at my house.

-his lips still curved up but in a different way, I couldn't quite make out what it meant. He plucked his bag from my grip, gave me the once, more like five, over and left to find the bathroom-

"You sure you're okay?" The concerned voice pulled my from my head. I nodded slowly, looking to the door again. Why was not it opening- it was locked... It was locked! It was locked?
