Philip gasped for air, scratching at his neck in an attempt to have at least a whiff of oxygen. He could feel his head go dizzy, and before long, spots started to splatter and blind his vision.

The large waves mercilessly trashed above him, and the more he was pulled into the ocean, the calmer it seemed to be. For a while, he was trashing about. He tried to swim up, but it was useless. He was only getting dragged further and further down.

Tears mixed with saltwater as Philip felt hopelessness swell in his stomach. He stopped struggling against the current. Before long, his eyes drifted close, and he waited for his demise.

It felt like an eternity. It was slow and unnecessarily agonizing. He hated everything about it. Why wouldn't he drown?

He couldn't breathe, but he wasn't dying. He slowly opened his eyes. There was no sunlight, there was nothing. He was probably too deep in the water for the sunlight to reach him.

Philip wasn't even sure if he was still in the water anymore. It was like he was in an endless oblivion. There was nothing in it. He strained his ears to hear for anything, anything to ease his anxiousness. It was so quiet he swore that he could hear his own heartbeat thumping against his chest. He swallowed the lump bubbling in his throat, anticipation slowly killing him.

God, what kind of sick dream is this?

He slowly turned around, feeling his locks delay behind him. This... void he was in didn't even have a floor. He was just floating like some beach ball drifting in the ocean.

Was he even in an ocean?

Where was he?

No, seriously.

Where was he?

How was this as a teaser? ;)
