America huffed, crossing his arms. He stared at the man in front of his desk who held an empty tray after depositing a cup of tea on Ame's office desk. "What do you mean Philip's suspiscious? Nothing about him is," he says, narrowing his eyes.
New York narrowed his eyes, "with all due respect, he has you wrapped around his finger! Isn't that a red flag in itself? It's only been about half a year since he was announced to have been 'revived' and everyone's already on their feet, kissing his shoes."
Ame could only glare at him before looking away, the tips of his ear brimming with color. This only made New York's frown deepen.
There were two types of romantic feelings, in New York's eyes:
The first one was love. Love is something that develops over time. It was slow, yet beautiful. Like a bud slowly growing into an elegant flower.
The second was infatuation. Infatuation could be what people mistake for as 'love at first sight.' It was rushed. It was not love. It was obsessive, it was protective, it was toxic.
New York knew that America was in love, not infatuated with the heterochromatic eye'd male. Even before Philip was revived, it was obvious the guy was smitten.
So why was New York so suspiscious of him?
Well, it was because numerous people flocked to him like a magnet. Even people that weren't close to him. He heard that China and North Korea were staying at his mansion!
It just wasn't normal.
To suddenly have so many people obsessed over you... it was... odd.
"And what if they're just interested in his revival?" Ame asks, biting his cheek. He didn't like this conversation. Talking shit behind someone's back was what he specialized in after being a country leader for so long, but not Philip.
He would never talk behind his back like a snake, but would gladly spread rumors about Martial. He just hasn't done it yet because... wait, why hasn't he done it yet?
Ame could spread rumors about Martial in order to give Philip a break from running! Even just for a little!
"What if they just wanted to use him? Take advantage of his blood?" America adds after snapping back into reality and realizing that one of his most trusted servants was right in front of him.
New York rolled his lips in, subconsciously fumbling with his fingers as he stared warily at the country leader. His cerulean blue eyes stared at Ame, a certain caution behind them.
"What about you? Are you-... Are you taking advantage of him?"
"Wha- No!" Ame yells, slight offense in what he had said. Realizing that he had shouted, he recoiled back, plopping down on his seat. He grumbles, before crossing his legs and furrowing his brows at New York. "I'm helping him. He doesn't deserve to be locked up by Martial."
The servant sighed inwardly. There was no convincing his master. America had fallen in to deep.
New York bowed before walking to the door, apologizing for his rude behaviour and heading out of the room. He raked his hand through his hair, closing his eyes for a moment before opening it and glaring at the girl in front of him.
"What do you want, Alaska?"
She pouts, looking at him. "Why do you assume that I'm going to do something bad?"
In turn, the male sighed. He rolled his eyes, walking past her. Alaska was quick to follow, staring at him curiously. "What were you doing in master's office? Is it a new report?"
