morning has come and jungwon woke up early, not that he slept well, though.

he's currently preparing his own breakfast. yes, his own. just for him.

"wow! that smells nice, can't wait to eat that", jay, who just entered the kitchen, said while scratching his eyes.

"no one said this is for you. i'm just cooking for myself, okay?", jungwon said while cooking fried rice.

"yah! why? last night, i was so hungry. i was waiting for you to cook but you didn't even come out from your room", jay complained.

"am i your chef or what? why would i cook for you?", jungwon asked.

"it's because jay-ah is your husband now, jungwonie", a sudden voice answered. it was jay's mom.

"mom! why are you here?"

"what's with your tone, jongseong? am i not allowed here? yesterday, you were very thankful about the wedding and now, you're asking me why am i here, sounding so pissed? hmm, jongseong?", jay's mom sassed as she put her bag on the counter. her son didn't even bother to answer.

"good morning, mrs. park! i-i'm glad to see you here", jungwon muttered as he finished cooking the fried rice.

"call me mom, wonie."

"yes, mom", jungwon smiled.

"anyways, do you need any help with that? i'm gonna help you", jay's mom announced before she prepare to cook the eggs and bacons that jungwon was supposed to be cooking.

"thanks, mom."

"no problem, wonie. sit there beside your husband and we'll talk while i'm cooking here", and that's what jungwon did. he sat down beside jay who still has a ruffled hair from sleeping. "so, how are you, kids?"

jungwon and jay just looked at each other. no one bothered to answer since they still hate being with each other-or atleast, jungwon hates the older.

"hey, this is your first morning as husbands so i understand that. that's fine, the awkwardness would falter away soon", mrs. park said. "you know what, your bickering earlier was actually a good thing for couples, not that i'm encouraging you to fight with each other, though", she continued.

"yeah, mom. just cook there, please? it's too early to be this cringed already", jay said, making jungwon smile because he also felt the cringeness.

"yah! there's nothing to be cringed about, kids", mrs. park said. she cooked the eggs and the bacons already so she's preparing the plates this time. jungwon was about to stand up to help her but she made him stop. "sit down, honey. i got this", she smiled.

the two boys just watched her as she put plates infront of them. they both muttered a small 'thank you' before proceeding to eat with their mom.

"you said you were just cooking for yourself yet, you cooked this much rice", jay said while munching his food.

"i'm not that bad, i know that i also have responsibilities to you, y'know?", jungwon stated before he ate a spoonful of rice with bacons.

mrs. park just smiled from what she heard. she sensed that the marriage of the two boys infront of him would work.

or atleast she hoped.
