"their marriage contract, let's end it for them and make our kids finally happy", mrs. yang said, genuinely hoping that the park's would understand why she asked for that.
"mrs. yang, what do you mean?", mrs. park asked. "our kids are happy, right? i can see it, and i can feel it. they might be oblivious about it, but i'm sure that they are starting to fall in love with each other", she added.
"and it was written on our contract that it would be the husbands' decision if they would like to end their marriage", mr. park muttered.
"that's why i'm asking it directly to you, to jay's parents", jungwon's mom looked at jay-who's panicking inside. "please, don't see me as your business partner for the mean time, see me as a parent for now. hear me as a parent right now", then, she looked at the couple infront of her.
"to be honest, i admit that all i cared about before was my company. i was scared to lose the company, since i'm a single parent for almost a decade now. if i lost the company, i wouldn't have any amount of money to raise my child. to raise my son, jungwonie", then she held the hand of her peacefully-sleeping son. "i want to give him all this time. i want to make him happy this time, and i need your help. i badly need your help to let this contract end."
mrs. park looked at her husband, before she looked at his son, jay. she sighed.
"i understand you, mrs. yang. i'm a mother as well, i'm a parent as well", mrs. park started. "but, if i granted your request, if i ended this contract, how about my son? how about jay? i see that you're trying your best to be a mom. me too, i'm trying my best to be jay's best mother ever. i don't want to sound selfish, but sorry, i can't really say 'yes' for your request. it's really up to the kids", she explained.
mrs. yang smiled, before a tear escaped from her eyes. she quickly wiped it, and nodded. "y-yeah! of course, i understand. thank you. i'm sorry, i guess i was just really rattled because my son was hurt. excuse me", then, mrs. yang went out of the room, leaving the park's with a sleeping jungwon.
the family looked at each other and shared the same, concerned-look.

it was almost 2AM, it was only jay and jungwon inside the room.
mrs. yang didn't come back after she walked out after the talk earlier, while jay's parents went home already, since they still have to go to their company the next morning.
jungwon moved a little, and jay immediately called him out.
"jungwonie? are you awake? how are you feeling?", jay asked.
the younger heard his voice, that's why he immediately opened his eyes. he tried to sit up, but a searing pain from his shoulders stopped him to do so.
jungwon looked at his right upper body part, and saw the the shoulder cast that the doctor put earlier.
"my shoulder hurts", he voiced out, before trying to move his right arm. jay stopped him.
"don't move. you got...shot, if you can't remember", the older said, while the younger nodded before asking a question.
"hyung, did you cry?"
jay was shocked. is it that obvious? he scratched his nose and stood up.
"i'll get you some food first, then, we'll talk", jay said before walking to get jungwon's food on the mini-fridge. "you must be hungry, you slept for almost 8 hours already."
"yeah, my stomach is actually aching now", jungwon admits as jay sat beside his bed again after older helped the younger to sat up.
"do you want me to re-heat this food somewhere?", the older asked.
"no, that's alright, hyung. i'm really hungry now, and i won't mind eating that food from the fridge right away", jungwon answered with a smile.
"alright. open up, then. i'll feed you", jay then hold a spoonful of the food before bringing it closer to the younger's mouth.
jungwon opened his mouth and tasted the food. "not bad. it still tastes good, even though it's cold, haha."
jay smiled, "then, you should eat more. here", he brought another spoonful of the food to jungwon's mouth, again and again.
"hey, hyung. let's talk. why did you cry?", jungwon asked while munching his food.
jay sighed. "it's about are marriage. again. surprise?", jungwon shaked his head.
"what about it, hyung?", jungwon asked, and jay told him what happened earlier.
he told him how his mother wanted to end the contract, and to end their connections with each others.
"after she walked away, she called me after an hour maybe. she told me that i'm not your happiness", jay said and jungwon immediately reacted.
"what? is she really insa-."
"she told me that 'heeseung' is your real happiness. she also said that, that was also the reason why she wants to end our contract. you're in love with someone, and i know that it's not me", jay added.
"hyung, believ-."
"it's fine, jungwon. i truly love you, and i'll do everything for you to receive your own happiness. after a week, i'm letting you go, yang jungwon. i'll let you live your life with your mom. i'll let you live your life with your real love one, heeseung."
