I pried open my lids and my eyes adjusted to the bright light that enveloped me. I scanned my surroundings frantically. I was locked up in a cylinder type of container, restrained with chains long enough for me to walk around.
Why was I locked up?
I perked my ears when I heard the soft drone of voices. "She's dangerous, Stark. She killed three kids in that blast."
My knees buckled beneath me as I heard those words. It was Fury who said it. "She's my daughter!"
"Daughter or not, she's a threat and she's dangerous." Fury reprimanded coldly.
"She didn't do it on purpose. It was an accident." Steve defended me.
"Perhaps, but we can not be absolutely certain. She had spent an awful lot of time with Loki. If he talked some nonsense into her head, then she's a threat and a traitor."
"And my daughter. If you charge her with anything then I'm stepping out of the Avengers-initative."
"We won't charge her with anything, Stark, but she will have to remain in the cell until we are completely sure Loki hasn't infiltrated her mind."
The doors opened and the three of them stepped into the room. I rushed to my feet and hurried to the edge of the cell, looking at them sadly.
"Did I really kill three people?" My voice cracked as I asked them the question I've been dreading.
My father and Steve didn't say anything. Fury knotted his hands behind his back and cleared his throat and he stepped forward, giving me a piercing glare, before nodding solely.
"Who were they?"
"Toby Hudson, Denise Killer and. . . Liz Allen."
"NO!"
I fell to my knees and stared at the ground in a state of shock. Sobs racked through my body as her name ricocheted through my mind, creating a volcano of unbearable pain to knot itself around every fibre of my body. I killed Liz. I killed Liz.
"It was an accident, Sage. No one blames you." Steve stated softly as I looked up at him where he stood next to my father with his arms crossed.
"I'm a murderer. . ." I breathed.
"No, Sage. Don't you dare think like that!" My father said softly, trying his best to comfort me with his words seeing as he wasn't allowed to touch me.
"How can I not? Those three people are dead because of me!" I cried.
"I'm sorry, Sage." Steve sighed as they left the room and the door automatically closed behind them.
Peter? Was Peter alright?

I've been confined to the cell for two weeks. My father and mother occasionally came to visit me, as did all the Avengers, especially Nat and Steve. Peter came to visit every afternoon after school.
I didn't know when I would be released and no one could tell me. Liz's funeral was held a week ago and it burdened me that I couldn't attend it. I killed her, after all, so it only seemed fitting to say goodbye but Fury refused to let me out of the cage even with me begging him endlessly.
I paced around the cell when the door swished open and Steve entered, all suited up. He had a serious expression inked upon his face and his shield was clipped onto his forearm. I abruptly stopped my pacing and stared at him. Nat was guarding me and when she saw Steve, she jumped up from her seat.
