Scarlett's POV
"We lost many souls tonight but they shall never be forgotten" Acacias spoke to the big crowd of people as he held my hand tightly
"I would like to thank everyone who helped others get to safety, I'm proud that you were able to set aside your differences and come together-" He stopped for a moment and looked at me
"Because that's how's going to be from now on," He said squeezing my hand a bit
A soft smile spread on my face
"We will give Tommy, Arthur, Samuelson, Cameron, Ethan, Timothy, and Jack a proper burial in the following days," Acacias said looking forwards
"You all may go home and rest it's been a long night," Acacias said
Some grabbed their loved one and walked quickly back to their homes and others stayed to comfort their friends and family.
"SCARLETT" I turn to look and an I see Blair running towards
We both hug each other tightly
"I thought you dyed" Blair muffled into my shoulder
"It's going to take more than a threat from the devil to take me out," I said jokingly to lighten the mood
We pull away and Blair has tears streaming down her face
"What happened," I said cupping her cheek
"I thought you dyed so I had to think of what I'd do because then if you were gone then I'd be the queen and I can't live up to that title I'm just an orphan with a hot, smart and did I mention HOT boyfriend whom in not married to but I'm going to have a baby with-" she stopped and hugged me again sobbing
"Stupid pregnancy hormones" she sobbed
"Ahh don't cry," I said hugging her
"And if anything were to happen to me I wouldn't have anyone else who I know I can trust with the coven," I told her
"Really," she said pulling away
"Yes you are my second in command for a reason," I said wiping her tears
"Oh there you are- you know for a pregnant whaling woman you are pretty sneaky," Alejandro said out of breath
"And fast" he mumbled
He fixed his posture when he saw Acacias walk up.
"Hey Ale" Acacias said giving Alejandro a side hug
"I'm glad you guys are okay," Alejandro said returning the hug he then walked over to me and gave me a tight hug which I returned
"YOU GUYS ARE OKAYYYYYYYYYY" I hear a loud voice that I would honestly miss if I died
We all turn to see Xavier running towards me at full speed I braced for impact
"OH YOUR ALIVEEEE" Xavier said picking me up and hugging me tightly like a teddy bear
"Xavier I love you and you know that but I- can't breath-" I said breathlessly
He let go of me
"I'm sorry I'm just so happy," he said with the biggest smile
He has the energy of a golden retriever and I love it
I opened my arms and he gave me a big hug
"I'm so g-"
Xavier was cut off by the ground shaking violently people started to run around seeking shelter wherever, it was hard to keep balance so everyone was stumbling
Then there was a loud rumble as if there was a plane flying right above our heads
"SCARLETT THE PORTAL" I hear Acacias shout
I look behind me and see the portal start to open again
What. The. Hell
"I THOUGHT YOU CLOSED IT" Blair shouted
"I DID" I shouted back at her
The ground continued to shake when it stopped suddenly. The portal stayed open nothing came out or in.
"Maybe it's a glitch," Xavier said
"This is the hell we are talking about glitches aren't a normal thing," Blair said
Suddenly a sort of vine of fire and reached out towards me I turn to run but it was too late the vine wrapped around my waist and pulled me backward harshly but Acacias quickly grabbed onto me in efforts to stop it
But every time he'd fight against the vine would tighten and burn into my skin
He kept pulling and it kept sinking deeper into my skin I let out screams of pain Alejandro, My father, and Xavier tried pulling altogether but it was just too painful
"Pl-Please just let g-go" I cried out in pain
"No" Acacias
" I can't no I wouldn't I can't," Acacias said as he pulled again
"Pl-Please" I cried out
"NO I can't lose you I just got you, we-" his voice trembled
"I know but we are mates we were put together for a reason I just know it," I said sobbing
The vine continues to pull
"Please pl-please don't make me let go," Acacias said now with tears streaming down his cheeks
My heart broke at the sight of Acacias crying
"It hurt Acacia's a-a lot every time you pull it burns into my skin," I said sobbing
"The last thing I wanna do is hurt you," Acacias said as tears continued to flow
"Then you have to let go please- I will find a way back to you I promise ," I said trying to force a smile but the pain was unbearable
I was scared. No, I was terrified
I didn't want him to let go I didn't but it's the only way
"I love you, Acacias King," I said as tears run down my face
"I love you, Scarlett Norris, I always will," he said sobbing softly
He let go and I was pulled back into the portal as it closed I sobbed uncontrollably
He won
Cold. Lonely and at drift
My heart was broken and empty I lost everyone and things aren't as they seem
I close my eyes in hopes this was the end
In hopes this was it
"Wake up Scarlett"
Like I said
"Wake up"
