Scarlett's POV
"Babe, I'm home" I yelled
There was no response where could he be
"Helloo," I said putting my keys down on the kitchen counter
"I'm in the office" I hear Acacias shout from his office
I set my bag down and walked to his office
"Hey b-" I stopped in my tracks to see Sam, Matt, Lily, and Nina sitting across from Acacias with the Sword of Hell in front of them
"What's going on," I asked as I closed the door behind me
"Queen Matt and I have spent days researching what Abaddon meant by 'a little blood sacrifice' " Sam said placing a book on the deck and flipping through it
I stepped closer to see what the book said
"You see right here elder witches used to do blood sacrifices to conjure demons or people from the past" Matt said pointing at a verse from the book
"Like with Abaddon they technically did a blood sacrifice with all the wolves, vampires, and witches that lost their life's on the land he was conjured on and the sword helped him reach the human form," Lily said as she stared at the sword intensely
"So he's planning to make a blood sacrifice to get the portal to open back up and make his demon friends come here," I asked
"Scarlett darling if what he said is true and your father is the king of hell himself that means you are the heir to the thrown meaning this sword belongs to you," Nina said as she crossed her arms and sighed
" but he can still open the portal," I asked stepping closer to the sword
"Yes he can and the Sword of hell acts like an anchor or a Direct line that would make it easier for it to open faster," Lily said finally looking up at me
"But he's a demon," Acacias said leaning back into his chair
"His human body allows him to do so," Lily said turning to look at him
"Do we have a chance?" I asked
"You either close the portal which could kill yourself or you claim the thrown and close the portal that way," Nina said as she leaned towards the sword
Everyone sat in silence then it's as if the sword calls to me a soft and sweet voice
'Scarlett'
'Scarlett darlin'
'Let's talk'
It was as if I was put in a trance then in a swift move I grab the sword and gasp because it was as if I was getting sucked out of my body and into the sword
Acacias POV
We all sat in silence when suddenly Scarlett reached for the sword and the views in her face went red and so did her eyes it was as if lava was coursing through her veins
"Scarlett" I got up to take the sword from her but it burned me and me back away
"Leave her it's like she's connecting with the sword in a way," Sam said standing up to examine the sword and Scarlett
Scarlett's POV
I was falling face-first into the void of darkness as a white dot got closer and closer I soon realized it was the ground I braced for impact and shut my eyes tightly but as soon as I saw that I wasn't gonna hit the floor I opened my eyes to see that I was hovering above the ground with red light dancing around me that then lifted me to my feet and landed me carefully on the floor
I looked around to see no one but darkness
"Hello darling"
I turned to where the voice was coming from it was a middle-aged woman around her 40s wearing an all-black dress that reaches the floor and the front hair of her hair she had white strands and the rest of her hair was black her eyes were pure brown she looked friendly
"Hello Scarlett we don't have much time," the woman said walking closer to me
"Who the hell are you?" I asked sternly as I took a step back
She stopped once she noticed I didn't want her near me
"I won't hurt you my child my name is Agata I was one of the few that bought you into your parent's life but I betrayed your father and he cast me away-"
Suddenly there was a big boom that cut her off whatever it was she knew it was something bad and turned to me with pure fear written all over her face
" I don't have much time but what your elder witches told you was wrong only the purest of magic and close the portal. When you were a baby I embedded pureness into you that's what got me cast away I couldn't let such souls be used for their darkest desires. They didn't know that the smallest seed of pureness would grow to be their Damnation" she said getting closer and resting her hands on my shoulders
For some reason, I didn't want to back the way I sense that she won't hurt me and that I can trust her
"You must harness the love you have for your family, mate, and kingdom you shall rule together," she said softly
Then there was a big boom again and she backed away from me and started to walkway backward
"There will be a grave price but there shall always be a loophole, see you soon my child" she gave a small wave and disappear into the abyss
Suddenly it was as if two pairs of strong arms grab each limb and pull me back with such force it winded me I closed my eyes
"Scarlett"
"Scarlett"
I opened my eyes and squinted my eyes due to the bright lights and as my eyesight focused better I saw that I was back at the Acacias' office still holding the sword surrounded by Acacias, Sam, Matt, Lily, and Nina
"What was that," Matt said as Lily and Nina take the sword from my hands and set it on the table
"Are you okay?" Acacias said embracing me into a hug
"I just met one of the people who created me for my parents," I said still in utter shock from what just happened
