Confused with Jake's words, I drove us back at Jay's apartment and into the room across Jay's. The door was sealed shut by Jake as he shakily approach me. He looks around as if he doesn't want anyone to hear what he wants to say. Even Layla and Gaeul are weirded out but as if Layla understood her owner, she motioned Gaeul towards the bathroom door to which my dog complies. The door was shut close and Jake stares at me, fear is evident in his eyes coupled with sadness and doubt.

"It's ok Puppy. . . I won't do anything to hurt you. Whatever it is you will say, I will accept you. . "

He take in a deep breath before he opens his lips and starts to talk.

"When . . when Jackie died. . it's very hard for the family. . mom and dad were so devastated. . I felt lonely and alone. . . Jay tried, I know he did . .but I'm so weak to even smile. . . when his mom called, I was in the bathroom . . I heard them tell Jay that he now has a brother. . Jay is so over the moon. . he's so happy . . he called me to show his brother but I'm so sad I didnt show up. . "

He look at me as he smiled, I held his hands as I pull him closer as he's standing at least a meter away from me.

"I can still remember that day . . . Jay was so happy and I got jealous. Just when I lost my sister, he gained his brother, you . . "

"I'm sorry. . ."

I remember mom and dad telling me about when they told Jay about me. And the day we first saw each other on VC.

"It's a few weeks later when Jay saw you. . he's so happy and I got more miserable. . . I . . I attempted to kill myself. . I let myself drown in the bath tub . . just like you before"

I laughed as he followed and I place a soft kiss on his hands telling him its alright to go on.

"I have this relative. . my dad's brother. . and his wife, they're my nightmares"

I pull him closer.

"They love Jackie but hate me to the core. . . they . . . blamed me . . they say I kill Jackie . . . I believed them. . they start to tell me nasty things. . when Jay tried to intervene, they . . they threatened him that they won't let him see you. . they're evil. . "

Jake starts to sob and I don't know how to react but I immediately pulled him closer. He's now on my lap as he hugged me and cried harder on my shoulders.

"I got you now .. "

"They always pick on me and call me mean things . . like killer, pest, bad luck. . ., evil . . . it went like that and when my parents were around . . they are so sweet. . . "

"What happened?"

My grip on his waist tightens as tears fell from my face. I can't imagine Jake, at such a young age went through that. He's so young.

"Their voices were engraved in my head and I hear it every time. . . for ages . . ."

That's why he always was scared.

"When dad died. . they blamed me . . .they said. . 'Jake you killed your dad . . .'. I believed them again. I know they only are angry now because no one will give them money and they never really love my dad . . . they're now demons in my eyes. . . I'm angry at them so much. . and then they starts to blame mom and mock her. . "

I stroke his back as my hand caress his hair. I am crying but I can't let him know. .
I must be strong for him.

"I can take it when they mock me for being weak . .. For killing my sister . . . for being mute. . "
