I'd want you to know me
someday
even if the odds might be
against usI'd want you to see me
the way i see you as my
fascinating star—
as a beautiful moonlightI'd want you to realize
that among the poems
that i have written
you're the subject that lastsI'd want you to stare at me
not now but maybe someday
as if i am the most privileged
person in the vast universeI'd want you to love me back
but you don't have to—
for i was thinking that
an admiration will always do.—
