toxicity of hopeless

I want you to know
that despite the uncertainty
i will always wait for you

I want you to know
that whatever it takes
i will write a poem for you

I want you to know
that sometimes it's excruciating
knowing that you don't care

I want you to know
that i never cease to love you
even though you can't feel

I want you to know
that i get tired sometimes too
but i'm still missing you

I want you to know
that no matter how hard
this pursuit of you can be

I will still be here
wanting you—adoring you
in a most depressing way.
