pain & meds

She often ignores
my messages—
and it hurts me well

She doesn't know
how i feel
but always, i care

Maybe i was just
expecting too much
for disappointment sake

That even though those
rejection stabs my heart
i'm still fighting
'cause this feeling is at stake

I couldn't ask for more
but to be appreciated

To see and feel
that i'm here
like a wind that lingers

Still, i don't want to give up
i hate giving up
to the ones that i really love.
