Kimora's POV

"MOM." I shout.

"Yes My favorite boxing daughter?" Mom says.

"Funny." I say then I walkout of the bathroom. "Does this look okay?"

"Damn." Jackie says.

"Yeah Bub." Mom says. "It looks great."

"Cool." I say.

"Oh my Baby." Mommy says then she and Mama hug me. "You're growing up on us."

"Mom's." I groan.

"Oh hush." Mama says. "Let us dote on you."

"What about Kyra?" I mumble.

"I'm good" Kyra quickly says.

"What was that?" Mom, Mama, and Mommy say then they attack Kyra with hugs and kisses.

"Ha." I say.

"What was that?" Mommy teases.

"Nothing." I say then I hide behind Jackie.

"That's what I thought." Mommy says then Jackie turns around and smooths out my clothes.

"I remember this outfit." Jackie mumbles. "You wore it when you asked me to be your girlfriend."

I'm wearing black skinny jeans, a black long sleeve turtle neck, black Chelsea boots, and a camel over coat along with my jewelry and my glasses.

My contacts have been pissing me off so I decided to just wear my glasses for tonight's event

"It brought me luck when I asked you out that night." I say. "Hopefully it'll bring me luck tonight."

"Trust me." Jackie says. "You didn't need luck when you asked me to be your girlfriend and you don't need it tonight."

"Aww." The five other ladies in the suite say.

"Oh hush." I say. "Aren't we gonna be late."

"Good point." Mommy says then we all grab our stuff and leave the hotel

Once outside the hotel, my family, Kyra and I's soulmate's, and I get into a car and head to some building here in New York.

10 minutes later we get to the building so we all get out then we I follow my Mom's up to one of the floors in the building.

When we get to the floor we shake hands with some people then I hug the people I haven't seen in a while.

"Hi Jules." I say.

"Hey Kai." Julie says. "You ready for this?"

"I guess." I say. "I still don't understand why I was elected captain."

Tonight's event is the unveiling of the USWNT's New captain's.

For some reason I'm the new captain.

If My Mom's didn't have a photoshoot at the same time here in New York and Kyra didn't have a snowboard thing this weekend then I'm pretty sure I would've appeared on Skype or FaceTime for this press conference.

"What'd you mean?" Sam Mewis asks.

"Why me?" I ask.

"Becky." Vlatko says as he comes over.

"Becky?" I question.

"After Becky retired we asked her who she thinks should be the next captain and she said you." Vlatko says. "And she said if we picked anyone else then that'd be a mistake."
