Chapter 57: Calm

HI!!!! SO UHM- I've been so distracted lately that I found it hard to update, but I pushed through this time with the help of ze lovely and awesome Zone-chan! Also known as Zonerobotnik here in AO3 :3 . She's been a huge help in these new chapters, so yeah! Anyways, NEW CHAPTER!!!! YAAAAYY!!!!

When traveling with family, friends - or at least, by yourself, it's bound to be peaceful, relaxing, calming, therapeutic.

However...

this..

This is absolute chaos.

And what a certain blond is experiencing right now are far from those adjectives above.

Gold buried his head in his hands as he hid himself away in the caravan's kitchenette in an attempt to drown out the noises coming from the main room. He knew that peaceful and calm were never to be used when describing the group, but boy....this was more than he expected.

What in the world of peanut butter and crabs (two of Gold's most hated foods) was going on outside that's making the poor blond go nuts you may ask? Well, for instance, there's Eugene and Rapunzel, who's randomly singing, loudly, while driving the caravan. Lance and the girls are in a somewhat heated game of charades; and Varian and Soul...well, to be honest, it was only their respective pets who were noisy, but-

"OWW!!!"

"VARIAN!!! How. Many. TIMES have I told you to stop sneaking up on me??!!"

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to! I just wanted to know what you were doing. And besides, I thought you'd be used to it by now!!"

Gold heard his sister sigh, continued by some muffled sounds of the two talking with a few giggles and laughs thrown in every once and a while.

Anyways, back to the list. The two teenagers were more peaceful than the others, but....a brother just can't stand to see their sister acting giggly with a boy. Especially, when that boy is someone whom the brother hates.

"You cheated!" Kiera shouted, pointing a finger at Lance.

"No, I did not! How can one even cheat in charades?" Lance replied.

"We know that the word is fish, but you keep saying it's wrong!" Catalina backed up.

"It isn't! I was acting as a sea bass." Lance argued back, irritating the two girls more.

"Which is a type of fish!"

"Next stop, anywhere~!" Rapunzel sang loudly.

"And the world is waiting-" Eugene sang back.

"I feel it waiting-"

"It's all just waiting out there! Everywhere!" They sang together loudly, belting their hearts out.

"Flick, please stop nipping on Varian's bag!" Soul scolded, spotting her fox nibbling on Varian's satchel, which was on the floor.

"Ruddiger, don't encourage him!" Varian shouted at the raccoon as Ruddiger was laughing at the fox, clapping his hands.

"I'm so sorry! Flick! Stop it!!"

"You're cheating!"

"No, I'm not!"

"One more time, Sunshine! Next stop-"

"-IT!! Stop it!" Gold screamed in exasperation as he slammed the kitchenette door open, catching everyone's attention. "I've had enough! Can't we just have one day of peace? You guys have been driving me nuts since we left four days ago!!!"
