"You do it."

"Me? Why don't you do it?"

"Well, I don't want to be the one who faces her wrath."

"I don't want to, as well!"

The voices argued as Soul shifted a bit in her sleep, covering herself more with her blanket.  She sighed in contentment when they stopped arguing for a second before continuing.

"Shhh! If you two are any louder, we'll all face her wrath." Lance whisper-yelled, scolding the two.

Varian quietly groaned, "Why couldn't have Rapunzel or the girls be the one to wake her up?"

"They said we couldn't be trusted in the kitchen..." Eugene and Lance replied at the same time.

"Speak for yourselves. I am perfectly fine when it comes to cooking." Varian scoffed.

"Yeah, but instead, you're here helping us wake the sleeping beauty up." Lance retorted.

"Hoot! Hoot!" The owl hooted, catching the men's attention.

"Sir Hoots!" Eugene silently exclaimed. "Could you be a sweetheart and wake Soul for us?" He asked.

"Well, it's too late for that." A female voice spoke from under the covers, startling the three men.  They all tensed up as they watched Soul sit up, her hair covering her face and for some reason, they thought it made her look scarier.

She looked at them through her hair with an annoyed expression. Did they really think they were being quiet? What's with the surprised expressions?  "The next time you try to wake me up. Don't. Just ask Hoots, and he'll do it." She then swept her hair out of her face, yawning. "I.... actually don't mind you waking me up when I'm sleeping. But if you're gonna complain and bicker instead, then you're bound to get on my bad side. Especially in the morning." She informed, her voice quite hoarse from waking up.

"Well, rise and shine Star gazer. You can sleep more later. We haven't eaten dinner yet." Eugene softly said as he fixed the girl's messy hair, tucking a strand behind her ear.

"Awww, is Eugene finally warming up to the little girl?" Lance cooed, causing the two to freeze up.

Realizing what he did, Eugene quickly ruffled her hair back to its messy state before standing up. "Uhm..." He coughed, "yeah, just...come down now, okay? Don't...don't make us wait again. We're hungry." He said as he started pushing his two friends out of the room, slamming the door on their way out.

Soul only nodded her head as she watched them leave. Her mind was still processing what happened. She didn't know if it really happened or was it still a dream. Because...Eugene... being kind to her? That was new. Well....he did say that he'll try to be nicer...

But what surprised her the most was the gesture. Not because Eugene was the one who did it, but because her brother used to do that to her before.

"Gold used to do that...." The astrologer whispered as she held a strand of her hair. Flick yipped beside her as if telling the girl that he was hungry. Soul sighed as she stood up and straightened her skirt before checking herself out in the mirror.

Noticing that her hair looked like a horrible mess, she let out another sigh as she picked up her brush and began combing through her lavender locks. Wincing and groaning as the brush encountered some tangled strands. This is gonna take a while....

"I am so sorry for making you girls cook. Especially you, princess! I forgot my parents brought the servants with them." Samuel bashfully apologized as he helped set the table.
