Everyone were permitted to return to their families before the upcoming ball next week, Friday.

Of course, Ryujin and Yuna had to go back. Chaeyoung had to give them their well-prepared gowns for the ball.

Beomgyu was supposed to go with Yeonjun and Lia since they live in the same mansion, but he didn't want another series of scolding, so he went with Ryujin.

It's probably going to be the best or wost decision he's made.

"We're home~" Yuna greeted as she removed her shoes on the rug on their doorstep.

"My daughters are home!" Mr. Shin said with a bright smile on his face as he approached the girls with wide arms spread to give them a tight hug.

"Ded yer crrrshing mee~" Yuna whined, and he lets both of the girl go.

Beomgyu was hesitant to show himself, and Ryujin was quick enough to notice it.

"U-Uhm... Dad?" Ryujin looked up to his dad, and he immediately returned the look to his daughter.

Nervousness rushed down to Ryujin's nerves, and turned to tell Beomgyu to show himself to her family that could probably kill him with the glares.

"Choi." Mr. Shin said.

"Choi?" Mrs. Shin.

"Choi?" Chaeyoung.

"Yes. I'm one of those w-wizards you know," He bowed, and he could feel his whole face heating up because of nervousness and fear.

"What are you doing here?" Mr. Shin crossed his arms, and leaned on the large pillar behind him.

"I... I—uhm..." He kept looking back at Ryujin and Mr. Shin. He closed his eyes shut, and finally gathered the courage to say it.

"I'm here to ask permission to make Ryujin my date for the ball!"

"He's my date for the ball!"

He opened his eyes, and looked at Ryujin with eyes wide open at each other.

Screwed. That's us. We're screwed. Beomgyu told himself, and let out an inaudible sigh.

"Ryujin." "Yes dad!" Ryujin straightens her body like a Durmstrang wizard, making everyone flinch in shock.

"Come to the yard for Charms practice." Ryujin couldn't help but slouch.

Great just great. Out of all the days. Her dad chose to make her practice Charms today when she has a visitor to entertain.

Mom!" Chaeyoung shouted running towards her mom with a beautiful baby blue envelope on her hand.

She gave it to her mom, and finally left the kitchen.

What do we have here? Mrs. Shin thought.

She slowly opened the baby blue envelope, but as she was about to get the letter inside, Yuna snatched it from her, and ran towards the dining.

Unfortunate for Yuna, her mom is a witch and not a muggle.

"Accio Blue Envelope!" and just like that, the letter was back on her hands.

"You better stay where you are young lady!" Mrs. Shin shouted sternly, and Yuna didn't bother to disobey her oder.

Huening Palace Residences? Since when did Yuna knew someone from a rich family? Almost as rich as an Emperor?

Good Day Mr. and Mrs. Shin,

I am Huening Kai. I am a year older than your daughter, Yuna Shin, who is a close friend of mine. The year-end ball is coming up, and I asked her to be my date. I know she is a wonderful girl, that is why she's the only girl I wanted to be my date on this ball.

I sent you an owl to ask if it's fine for you to make her my date for the ball. If it's fine, please don't be worried. I'll make sure I'll take good care of he during the ball, and make her happy. If it's fine too...

I wanted us to be more than just friends.

Will you give me the permission to date her?

Expelliarmus!" Ryujin casted, but her dad simply made a counter spell for it.

"Dad come on I'm already tired~ I've told you all the spells I've learned since first year!" Ryujin whined, and sat on the green grass, feeling more tired than she's ever been.

"Is that Beomgyu good to you?" He asked.

She suddenly felt all the hairs in her arms stood up because of the the sudden question.

"Uhm... yes. I actually ignored him for awhile, but in the end he still chose to stick with me. I don't even have the slightest idea why," she rolled her eyes and picked up her wand to face her dad once more.

"He even saved my life twice. Once from a clumsy dragon, and second from that rude brainless witch." She cracked a smile, and immediately stopped herself from smiling even more.

But her dad saw her genuine smile.

"He's kind dad. Plus, it's just a ball. It's not like he's asking me to be his girlfriend or anything," she chuckled.

"Well, he looked like he was."

Ryujin furrowed her eyebrows, and looked up to her dad who was looking up at the clear blue sky with a soft smile as if he was reminiscing something.

"Fine. I'll let you be his date. After the ball make sure to send me an owl to let me know if the ball went well after being with him."

Ryujin found this childish, but also sweet. She smiled and nodded to his dad.

Finally. He was starting to accept him.
