"You're going to invite that muggle in that ball?" Taehyun's father asked.

He knew it was wrong to bring that up during dinner, but if he didn't he will not have any chance to say it.

His father has to know he's taking Chaeryeong, the muggle, to the ball. If not, he'll see all Taehyun's photos with Chaeryeong on the school news paper.

If that happens, there'll be no doubt that Taehyun's father will go straight to Eternal just to look for him and embarrass not only him, but Chaeryeong as well.

"Pathetic," his father mumbled as he ate the chopped meat on his fork.

"Dad. She's a really great witch. I'm sure you'll like her if you get to know her." Taehyun placed both of his hands on his thigh because his hands were trembling too much.

"Correction. She's a muggle, not a witch. There's a big difference son." He scoffed.

Taehyun couldn't handle his father anymore, and stood up from his chair. It flustered everyone in the dining room including his father.

"You're right. She's different, and she'll never be like those other girls you want me to be with because Chaeryeong is better than all of them."

Taehyun turned and made his way to their mansion's hallway. His father kept calling his name, but he didn't dare to even stop in his tracks.

He arrived on the highest part of their house, to see moon and stars in the sky.

"You shouldn't have done that, you know?" Daniel said.

"Of course you would say that." Taehyun glared at him, and prepared himself to leave the place, but Daniel called his name.

"That was brave of you. Just be prepared of the consequences," Daniel informed and sipped on his glass of wine.

"I'm not scared of those consequences. Our family needs to know that this generation is changing, and they have to accept it whether they like it or not."

"Is it changing though? Or are you the one changing?" Daniel hummed to hear Taehyun's answer, and Taehyun didn't hesitate to do so.

"I never changed. I wouldn't be sorted in a different house as you all if I was the same as everyone in here."

And finally he left the place, and went straight to his room, where he found a nice light brown envelope on his nightstand.

To Kang Taehyun,

Goo day to you. I hope you're doing well there with your family, and not arguing like what you always told me in your stories. Anyway, It's sad that I have to inform you that I can't be your date to the upcoming ball.

It's because I'm not going. I hope you understand.
