Choi's Mansion

———— ⋆ ✦ ⋆ ————

"Yeonjun, can you explain why you brought me in this hellhole?" Yeji forcely smiled while grasping Yeonjun's collar.

"Chill out Yeji. It's just a dinner with my family." Yeonjun smirked.

"The fact that I'm about to eat with your family, already makes me want to die now."

Yeji pushed him away, and continued to walk through his mansion's massive foyer. Suddenly, a group of people came entering in, which absolutely intimidated Yeji.

"Huh? You brought her again?" Mr. Choi asked while looking down at Yeji who couldn't even meet his eyes.

"Yes."

"Well you might want to enter the dining now. You don't want to keep your grandmother waiting." Yeonjun nodded, and held Yeji by her hand, and pulled her away from his intimidating family.

She sat beside Yeonjun, and glanced at the entrance door. Beomgyu came in, surprisingly, with Ryujin. He's holding her hand like he's ready to protect her from their daunting family.

Ryujin shyly waved her hand at Yeji, and she nodded as a response. Well things are getting interesting. At least she's not alone in this hellhole anymore.

The other members of the family finally arrived. They all walked with their backs straight. They all looked cold as ice as they made their way to their respective seats.

"I see the two of you brought guests," Their grandfather said while sipping on his glass of red wine.

"Well... yes. These girls are the ones we asked for the upcoming ball," Yeonjun answered as politely as he could.

"Nice choice, Yeonjun. I always knew you two will end up together—"

"Sorry w-we're not really toge—" Yeji tried to explain, but Yeonjun's mother cuts her off with a laugh.

"Oh don't be silly dear. Whether you like it or not, we'll make sure you end up together. Isn't that right, Yeonjun?" Her mom looks up to him, to meet his eyes, but all he could do was to look down on his food.

Yeji scoffed quietly, and started to eat her food as she was growing sick of the environment she's in. Why did she even say yes to the boy beside him.

Their grandfather cleared his throat, and met gazes with Beomgyu. His grandfather smirked.

"As for you Beomgyu... You picked a wrong sort." Their grandfather didn't even hesitate to say those words. The other members of the family weren't even shocked to hear it, or even bother to stop the old man to say such austere words.

"I wasn't relying on sorts anyway. I was relying on what I fancy, and apparently, it was her." He pointed Ryujin, and munched on a spoon of rice.

"But Beomgyu, there are other better witches in Eternal. For sure you'll like them than this girl sitting next to you. What kind of standard do you even have?" His aunt chuckled, and shook her head in disappointment.
