Valencias POV

the merry gathering continued as the dwarfs congratulated me on my improv. They talked about the dance and made jokes as they are and drank. Then they moved to the seriousness of the quest and began to talk of old times. I slipped upstairs and saw my weapons. I stared in awe at the white bow and the quiver of golden arrows and a Elven sword.

"Do your weapons suffice?" Gandalf asked

"Very much so"

"Good. You will need them."

"Why did you ask me to come with you Gandalf? You could have chosen anyone else why me?"

"You said so yourself that we are fictional characters from a book. You know how this ends. Come and help us. "

"What of my parents? They will notice that I have been gone."

"Time Is different in middle earth than it is here. As a second goes by here minutes will go by in middle earth. So Valencia are you ready to collect a hobbit and go on adventure?

I grinned "of course I am!"

He chuckled "that's the spirit. You'll need these." he tossed me a bag inside were middle earth clothes. Long white shirts and brown pants with leather boots. A sky blue cloak and a gold tassel were inside. I quickly changed and strapped on my weapons and headed downstairs where there was a pounding on the door. You opened it find Thorin majestic as always.

"Good evening Miss I am Thorin Oakenshield at your service."

"Valencia at yours and your family's!" I curtsy as he nodded "we have food and drink if you like"

"Thank you" he sat down as the dwarves cheered. He smiled in gratitude at them and as I laid a plate full of food.

"Are you coming with us?" Ori asked shyly

"I am."

"You can't fight! Your a woman! You'll only slow us down!" Dwalin pointed

Anger started to boil as I took a knife from Thorin and threw it up above Dwalins head. His eyes widened in suprise as Fili smirked.

"I warn you now that just because I am a woman doesn't mean I can fight. I can sword fight and I can do archery. "

Thorin nodded very impressed with her aim "you will be a great asset Valencia."

I smiled I had impressed Thorin, it wasn't something every day that was easily accomplished

"Then sign the contract. " Fili said in high spirits. I couldn't help but grin. I read the contract and signed as the dwarfs were pleased.

"Why don't we test her sword fighting skills with someone eh? " Thorin said with a grin

I shrugged "take your pick I don't care."

"Fili! Would you care to show the lady how it's done?"

"With pleasure!" Fili winked at me. I'm not gonna lie, I was nervous. I grabbed my sword and attacked. We blocked and parried doing intricate moves. Suddenly Fili's sword dropped. I had won.

I smirked "and that's how it's done." as Thorin nodded in being impressed and in approval.

"Well done Valencia. " Fili hugged me. I could feel the tingling up my arm "Why don't you give us a tour eh? " Fili motioned for me to show the way. As we opened the door to my room Fili's jaw opened and he froze.

"Are those posters of.....me?"

Oh sweet Valar help me now I forgot to take down my posters!!! There were posters of Fili EVERYWHERE!!

"Uh yeah I'm a collector...." I said nervously my cheeks on fire

"That's what they all say." Kili whispered as he walked out. Shoot me with an arrow please.

"Well you have a lot of them." Fili smirked "im flattered."

"Thank you. Everyone of them is different. That's why I collect them." I sort of lied as I began to untack the posters

"No! Leave them! " Fili put his hand over mine as the tingling came back. We locked gazes and spins throat cleared. We quickly jumped away my cheeks going even redder.

"We're going to have some pie if you'd like to join us..." Ori said shyly

"Yes let's go eat pie! I chimed as we walked out holding hands.
