Val's POV

Bard and I had led some people up the mountain to fight with the dwarves. Finally Thorin had some sense into him.

We began to fight for middle earth...

Near the end of the battle

I looked around for Fili Kili and Thorin but they were not anywhere to be seen. A Orc came at me as its blade sliced a bit of my shoulder causing a deep cut. I fell to my knees in pain as I saw the orcs does about to slice me in half when a figure stabbed it from behind.

"FILI!" I ran into his arms

"Your hurt!"

"I'm fine don't worry about me. Where's Kili and Thorin?"

Fili began to panic as we began our search fighting orcs as we go. We saw him laying on the ice and immediately my heart stopped.

"Thorin." I whispered as I ran across tears flooded my eyes as I knelt down by him. "I'm so sorry I'm so so sorry!"

"No Valencia it should be me apologizing to you. I should have never doubted your wisdom. I hope you can forgive me. "

"Of course. I have loved this adventure from day one and I wouldn't change it for the world. You are like a father to me Thorin. The best I could ever ask for please please don't leave me." My lip trembled as tears poured.

"It's time for me to go. You will make a fine Queen. Fili, take care of Kili rule wisely and take care of your fiancé."

"I will uncle" Fili's voice cracked a bit. "I will do my best."

"I love you and Kili as a son. I couldn't be more proud. " He coughed "if there were more people that had your wisdom Valencia, daughter of mine, the world would be a merrier place. Tell the dwarves, and I want to tell you all thank you for following me one last time. You are the most loyal and true friends a king could ask for." He whispered as he faded for the last time.

"NO! NO THORIN COME BACK! THORIN WAKE UP! THORIN WAKE UP!" I sobbed and shook and wailed as Fili cries silently as he holds me shaking.

"Val we have to go." He croaked

"We c-can't leave h-him he needs a p-proper burial. "

"And we will but the orcs are still out there. And the battle isn't over yet."

Rage filled me. The orcs did this. They were gonna pay. My eyes glittered with rage and hate for the orcs as I grabbed my weapons as I killed every Orc in my path. Fili had drifted off a bit as I tried to reach him. I was not going to lose my fiancé. Out of nowhere Bolg comes and throws me into a rock. The energy is gone and very low. Adrenaline is one of the things keeping me alive. We begin to circle as the Bolg takes a few swings as I duck over and under slicing at every opportunity. He suddenly grabbed me as I was suddenly thrown against the wall. I can't move. This is it. I won't be able to say my last goodbye to Fili Kili and the dwarves. A battle cry rang out as the Bolg was sliced causing it to fall. The Bolg soon got up and sliced Fili in the side. He fell to his knees as it felt time had stopped. I wanted to run but my legs were frozen and numb. Legolas jumped out of nowhere as he defeated Bolg once and for all.

"Sunshine. " I croaked as I held his face. "You stay with me you hear? DONT YOU DARE LEAVE ME!" I cried. He was still alive and breathing. Slowly I began to sing "🎵you are my sunshine my only sunshine you make me happy when skies are grey.... Y-you'll n-never know dear... H-how much I l-love you so please.......please...please don't take my s-sunshine a-away......"I sobbed as a lump grew in my throat that I wasn't able to swallow or control.

Dwalin came forward as he kneeled in front of me. "Where is Kili?" I croaked

"In the healers room. The battle is over we won. Valencia do you trust me?"

"Yes."

"Then give me Fili km taking him to the healers room. I'm going to try and save him."

"Please. " I whispered "save him."
