Chapter 12 - the first day

~ Bettys pov ~
"Can i ask you a question Betty?" He said with his sweet voice looking at me, I was looking at him. He had a big smile on his face, I couldn't help but smile too. "Yes of course jug" I whispered still looking to his eyes, locking them even more, I couldn't really take my sight away.

"So I have this feeling for you I-I" he was so nervous, I was too, but I just didn't show it, that would've made him even more nervous "calm down jug, everything's gonna be ok" he nodded and took a deep breath "it's clear that I like you, I don't know if you feel the same way b-but, would you be my girlfriend Betty?" He had tears coming down his cheek slowly, I could see he was insecure, and he didn't think I liked him back, in which he was wrong because I did like him, maybe even more "jug," I took a deep breath, our eyes still locked and both with tears "I want to be your girlfriend, of course I want to, I l-like you, a lot actually" I smiled, didn't regret any words of what I'd said, I leaned in and kissed him, the fourth time I kissed him, it felt better, even more than the first time, real.

It didn't last long, but it was actually perfect. We pulled apart, looked into each other's eyes, and locked sights again. Then I laid my head on his shoulder and he wrapped one arm around my back, we watched the sunset in silence, just perfect.

{next morning}
I woke up in his arms, we fell asleep the night before, but we were save with each other. He was still asleep, I just put on an sleepy smile "jug wake up" I whispered to his ear and then kissed right there. Moved to another part of his face and did the exact same thing, until he started to wake up. "Morning jug" I said now a little louder than before "morning Betts" I smiled at his grumpy voice "I'm sorry, this wasn't the most confortable place to sleep..." I rolled my eyes "you are stupid... in a god way though" I laughed then continued "this was the best night ever..." he smirked a little "even better than our first night?" I did not see that coming "yeah, even better. So imagine how perfect this was, because I did enjoy a lot our first night" he leaned in and pecked my lips. We continued cuddling each other, watching and hearing the sea, the perfect sea.

Some time later I decided to go home. We got up and I turned on my phone to see a bunch of messages from Veronica... I decided to open them all.

Vee💀: b where are you?
Betty there's been a motorcycle accident, they don't know the people in it
Is it you?
Pls tell me is not you...
Answer me!!
Betty pls answer me...
I love you...

Omg no, I needed to call her right away, she thought I was dead "what happens?" Jug asked concerned, I just put my finger on my lips making the silence sign. Then I immediately called Veronica, she took it in the first ring "Betty are you ok?" She asked worried "yes I'm fine vee, what happened?" She sighed in relief "there was a big accident outside of campus, just in the beach direction. We only knew there were a bunch of dead people and I just thought-" she was nervous "that I was dead" I finished her sentence "I'm fine vee, I didn't answer because I had my phone turned off, and Jughead the same way" there was silence, then she spoke again "thank god you two are ok" "yes" I answered. The rest of the call was so awkward, I just didn't know why, but I hung up and looked at jug "can we go home?" The day had just started, I was already tired, we could've been in that accident, we were just two lucky people.

We got everything, then went to the motorcycle. I got on and jug did too. I wrapped my arms around him, tight, now more scared than the day before. He started it, we headed to campus.
When we arrived at the entrance, there were two guards at the door, "hey sir, we live here" jug said "I'm sorry, we can't let you in. Yesterday there was an accident right here and we are investigating it, because we know it was caused" jug nodded his head and turned around "thanks sir".

We went to a hotel and booked a room. Got everything in and just cuddled in bed. "I guess this is the first day" I said tired "of what Betts?" Betty I looked up at him "our relationship bae... I guess being us just made it this way..." I said disappointed "this way? I loved the way our first day turned out, just adventures" he smiled, and I couldn't resist to smile too. "You've convinced me. I love what we've done today, because I was with you." He pecked my lips "you are a cutie" . Not long after, we were fast asleep.
