The day had finally come. Today was Jungkook and Chaeyoung's date, and boy was Jungkook scared. The days after the incident, Chaeyoung avoided him completely, not even giving him the chance to see her outside of their classes. However, if he said he wasn't expecting it he would be lying more than pinocchio did. The fear that she might cancel was all he could think about, making his school work suffer the past two days.
When he snapped out of it, he looked at himself in the mirror in his bathroom. He looked at his black dress shirt, his dark blue slim fit jeans that his shirt was tucked into, then to his black shoes shining and his slicked back hair. Even if she doesn't show, at least I made an effort to express myself, he thought to himself as he tried to pick up his spirit.
When he picked up his phone and saw the time, he saw it was almost 6:00 and even though his date was at 7:00, he decided he'd try to be there early so he could get their table at the restaurant. He knew going early would increase his stress over the evening, but he wanted to make sure she had a great time.
Once more he looked in the mirror and took a deep breath, doing his best to calm himself a little so he wasn't to anxious. He grabbed his keys and walk to his car with only one thing on his mind: he was going to do his best to make her happy.

"Chaeyoung, are finished yet?" The impatience in Jimin's voice was very apparent as he called for his sister. His sense of urgency only grew as he saw that it was already 6:45.
He couldn't take it anymore and ran to her room to get her."Come on Chaeyoung your gonna be-" he realized what was going on the second he saw her. Chaeyoung was sat there in a black dress that was shorter and tight around her figure. With her make up done and her smooth pale skin showing she seemed glow and speak girlfriend material. She was absolutely beautiful, and yet she was sat their looking depressed.
Jimin was completely aware of why she was sitting there and looking so down, but he knew that he had to convince her to go for Jungkook. "Chaeyoung, I know you're scared," he said with sincerity and concern."I know that you don't want to go because you don't want things to be awkward, but you will regret it if you don't go. Don't throw away a chance to understand your feelings or someone who likes you."
She looked at him and didn't speak, she only nodded and stood. She didn't say anything, but her actions communicated the words Jimin needed from her. With those words, the two ran to his car and left at 6:50, 10 minutes before the time agreed on.
------------------
Jungkook had been sitting at their table for over 20 minutes and their was still no sign of Chaeyoung. He was beginning to give up, his heart breaking more every minute that passed by. He knew that after what had happened she was probably not going to show. He knew, yet it only hurt more to know she wasn't coming.
He felt a hand on his shoulder as he sat staring at the table cloth in despair. He looked up and saw Jin, his friend and the restaurant's owner, looking at him with concern."Don't give up yet Jungkook, she could still come," said Jin as he rubbed Jungkook's back. Jungkook, however, didn't respond and just looked at the door.
Though Jin's words didn't stick in Jungkook's mind, but the image of a beautiful girl coming through the door stuck in his mind and would stay there the rest of his life. He had lost all faith and wanted to leave, but she had finally come for their date.
"Sorry I'm so late Jungkook," said Chaeyoung as she bowed multiple times and sat down,"I should have been here sooner."
"It's fine Chaeyoung," he said to her, trying to get her to calm down. His once depressed outlook was now the opposite. Her showing up wass all it took for him to become happy. He truly had feelings for her.
