Angel Wings

Chapter 13

Steve had been exploring the base looking for the sceptre; Not knowing that Tony had already found it. He came across a locked down; it was boarded up with planks of wood and metal scraps; someone had tried to rid of it. Why didn't they just destroy it, put a bomb in it; boom. The captain threw his shield at it, the door had been rusted and mouldy, the shield sailed straight through. He tried to pry the door open from there but he couldn't, although the door was breaking and deteriorating it was still stiff and old, he looked through the hole he had created but there must have been another wall or door behind, he couldn't see through. He called for everyone else.

"GUYS IV'E FOUND SOMETHING."

Steve could hear people rushing to his location, they had trackers installed into each of their suits so if anyone ever got kidnapped, they could track them to their location.  When everyone arrived, including Tony, they looked at the door and back to Steve all with incredulous looks on their faces. Tony questioned.

"What do we do, it's just a door cap?"

Nat was about to agree when she heard something, it was like a whimper but it sounded weak and pain-filled, like a newborn kitten, opening its eyes for the first time but it's too bright. She was about to tell the others when she was cut off by Thor.

"Gu-"

"I think there was a noise."

Everyone agreed with him, and Tony pointed his blasters at the door just as it was about to hit, Natasha saw what he was doing and pushed his arm down; granted it took effort but she did it.

"What are you doing, I was going to blast the door down so we could see inside."

"That's the problem Stark, what if there's a human in there, you would have blasted them right through there."

Stark realised what Natasha said to be true, and discharged his blasters, he lowered his arm and instead motioned for Thor to open the door, with his alien god super strength, Thor was able to shift the door slightly but other than that, it appeared to be jammed shut. Everyone shared confused looks, this rusty door had been locked so tightly that even a god couldn't open it.

"Ok that's it, I'm blasting it down, sorry double-agent (Doobley-agentay.)"

As much as Nat didn't want anyone inside to be harmed, the only way inside would be to blast down the door. The door exterior was weak but the framing around looked jammed. He didn't want to damage anyone to so he aimed his blasters at the wall surrounding the door, just close enough to the exterior, He searched for any heat signatures but the armour surrounding the room but there was an electromagnetic charge blocking his sensors. The only weakened spot was where the captain's shield sailed through. He realised his blasters would hardly do any damage, although his blasters were strong they wouldn't be able to dent the surrounding shield; which appeared to be vibranium and the door was only steel. He re-aimed his blasters towards where Caps shield had gone through and hoped he wouldn't hit anyone. He charged up; and blasted.

Tony's blast caused the door to collapse, Nat went through first, to scope the area but as soon as they heard Nat's gasp they all went through after. What they saw surprised them.

There was a girl, wings covering her naked body huddled in the corner. She woke up, her eyes opening but as soon as she saw the avengers she opened her wings showing that she wasn't naked, she was wearing a linen cloth or dish towel. She opened up her wings and flapped them back in creating a powerful gust of wings pushing everyone back, Nat and Clint hitting the walls behind them. She flew up and out of the door, leaving the avengers alone in her prison.

Tony quickly flew out of the room, following the scared enhanced, he had caught up with her but a portal like opening formed; it was galactical, it looked like it was a portal straight into a galaxy. The enhanced flew straight through the portal, Tony was about to follow but the portal closed and Tony flew straight past it.

Tony flew back to the Hydra compound; it was obvious that the female enhanced was long gone. He told the rest of the avengers to get back to the avengers' tower. Tony did one last scope of the Hydra base before S.H.I.E.D was called in to check or investigate the base. He went back to the room they found the girl in, the room was a small square shape, the ceiling was average in its shape, with no mechanical light coming in or out. There was a natural light coming in from somewhere but he couldn't pinpoint where. He turned his torch on and light filled the room. The first thing that caught his eye wasn't the blood nor the scratches it was the smell.  The smell dominated your senses; it was sweet like lavender, but also had a sharper smell like... mint. The smell was enticing and like ambrosia but it wasn't erotic nor in any way sexual. But it was there, lingering he questioned it though why would the smell be there when the girl had no source of perfumes or showers. So how could she have a smell so angelic, yet so confusing?

Tony left the room and flew back to the tower where the sceptre was waiting for him.

Over the weeks Tony was allowed the sceptre he was also looking for any signs of a being with large white angel wings. He had been using the sceptre to create an A. I that relies solely on sustainable energy from the sceptre. He had managed to do it but decided to have a party instead. He invited reporters, friends or friends, contact and of course the Avengers themselves. Everyone was partying, Nat was flirting with Bruce, Rhodey was telling jokes that Steve and Tony didn't get. After everyone left, The avengers were sat around the table with Thor's hammer, Clint had already tried to lift it, so had Tony, Rhodey and Steve. It was Nat's turn to try but she didn't want to, she knew she could never be worthy. Thor started to talk about worthiness, but a robotic voice interrupted. There was a loud screeching noise and everyone covered their ears, when they took their hands away a mangled robot was speaking.

"Worthy... No, how could you be worthy? Your all killers."

Everyone jumped into action and Ultron was still talking, Robots came from left a right; Tony's legion. They were all fighting until Thor had a clear shot at the robot he took it and destroyed the robot's body, but the robot's voice filled the room once more. He sang the Pinocchio song.

"I had strings, but now I'm free. There are no strings on me, no strings on me."

Everyone was spooked about the attack, but Steve blamed Tony. It was all Tony's fault in Steve's eyes. He had been messing with tech which he shouldn't have, and for once or should I say another time he did something drastic and it went wrong.

This chapter is so bad, I am so sorry. I honestly hate to say this, but I didn't try. I'm exhausted from revising all week; but I was like, nuh-uh, I gotta upload a chap, for those who actually read my stupid book. I'm really down lately and struggling with my anxiety. Thanks for moronically choosing to read this badly written book.
