Getting home I sigh as I drop my keys in the dish by my door. I kick my shoes off and walk across my apartment stopping in place once I hear a rustling. "Whoever's here you can come on out now." I say as I take a seat on my couch waiting for whomever was trespassing to show themselves.

"Oh what a nice surprise, captain America? What are you doing here?" I ask as I lean back on my couch after pouring myself a drink. Watching with raised eyebrows as the Captain America struts into the room.

"Miss Odair-"

"No need to be so formal Captain, my name is Cora." I smirk whilst taking a sip of my drink. "So...why are you here captain? And why are your friends still hiding?" I ask before turning to see black widow and another man also reveal themselves.

"We're here because we need your help." He says making me laugh, "you need my help?" I ask in disbelief setting my glass down. "My my these must be desperate times if you're coming to me for help." I continue giggling noticing no one else was as amused as me.

"Ok so what makes you think that I'm gonna help you?" I ask, "because I'm asking nicely." He replies crossing his arms making me nod. "Yeah that's not doing it for me, I'm gonna need another reason."

"Because it's the right thing to do?" He offers making me snort, "like I care about the right thing to do." I laugh again making his eyes narrow. "Because if you help us I will get shield off your back."

I pause for a moment as I think it over, "I mean I think I've been doing pretty well on my own but thanks for the offer." I smile before standing. "You don't want to be free?"

"I am free Captain, no ones ever managed to bring me in and call it what you will but I quite enjoy the thrill of the chase." I say flashing him a smile. "Ok Cora we asked you nicely but I'm afraid we just can't take no for an answer."

"Ok let me just humour you for a second, what exactly do you need my help with?" I ask intrigued by the desperation, "we're on the run from shield."

"Something you're quite good at."

"Thank you." I smile over at Natasha, "ok so you're on the run from shield but are somehow promising me my freedom from shield? Doesn't make much sense."

"Shield is compromised and we want to take them down." Steve says making me smile again. "Now that sounds interesting. Mmm ok I'm in." I shrug making the three share glances. "Really?"

"Well things were getting a bit boring around here so why not? Besides taking down an organisation that's been after me for years? If that's not fun I don't know what is." I say making Steve and Natasha share what seems to be a wary glance.

I go to get changed and return to find them talking about me. "Do we really need her? She seems a bit..."
