Water. There was water everywhere. Rey opens her eyes, it's dark and clouded. She quickly realizes she is underwater and dying. She swims up to the surface. Once she reaches the top, she takes large breaths of air. She coughs, multiple times, and spots a log of some sort.

She swims over and leans against it. She looks around, desperate, for anything that could help her out of this mess.

"Hello?!" She yells as loud as she can. She quickly regrets it as she starts coughing. "Is anybody out there?" She yells again, this time, a little less loud.

She hears a scream. She turns around. She swears it was a scream, it couldn't have been the wind. No, no, no, please no, is all that screams in her aching head.

She hears the scream again. It's close. There are pieces of the plane everywhere. She looks around, desperately searching for the owner of the voice. There!

She swims toward it, trying her best to maneuver through the water without dying. The teenaged girl reaches a log and rests for a minute, trying to catch her breath. Almost there, she tells herself.

She swims a little more, before reaching the owner of the voice. It's a boy sitting on a piece of the plane, it looks like a wing of some sort. His skin is a dark chocolate colour, he has short, dark brown hair. He sees her and gives his hand. She sits upon the wing with him.

"Are you hurt?" Rey asks, trying to sound calm, but she can feel the panic starting to seep into her voice. Her heart was beating at an unhealthy pace, both from adrenaline and the swim she just accomplished.

"No," the boy says, "I... I don't think so. What's your name?"

"Rey. Your's?"

"Finn." They both look around. "What do we do now?"

"I don't know..." Rey feels something roll down her cheek. A tear or just the water? She doesn't know, but she quickly wipes it away with the back of her hand.

"Can you swim?"

"Yes."

He looks down. The waves are starting the splash everywhere. The sun is in the middle of the sky, indicating it's most likely midday.

"We're going to have to move," Finn says. "It's the only way we're going to make it. We'll help each other out and take breaks. I remember seeing an island right before we crashed, with any luck, we can swim there."

She nods. "Shouldn't we check if there's anyone out there? How many were we on that plane? Ten?"

"Eleven, without the pilot. I couldn't spot anybody, so I guess that they're all somewhere else or..." He trailed off. They both knew what he meant.

"Okay... let's do this." Rey tried to sound optimistic, but she was unsure if it had actually worked.

They both entered the water and started to swim. Occasionally, they would take breaks on parts of the wreck that they would see. Looking up toward the sun, it looked like an hour had passed when they finally began to see land.

"There!" Rey eagerly pointed toward it.
