Dressed in a blush pink coloured gown I hurried downstairs to where the photographer was set up, probably waiting for me. It had taken longer than I thought to do my hair in these curls, and positioning the tiara was a nightmare.
Thea added a pearl necklace to the look, along with silver hair pins around the tiara to hold my half up hair do."Sorry I'm late." I announce as I enter, hearing the commotion in the room bubble as the boys all try to greet me at once. I give everyone a polite smile and move to the photographer, who I know as Mr Joyce, to see what's happening.
Mr Joyce bows as I approach, "Your perfectly on time miss, some of the selected still haven't arrived yet. But we can begin with who we have here, as it might take a while to get through everyone."
I nod, "Yes, that sounds reasonable, where do you want me?"
"Just in front of the blue backdrop over there. We will have one on one photos first, with you and each of the boys, and then some more group ones." Mr Joyce says and points to the set up he has over on one side of the room with lights and the camera.
I move over onto the space and look around for someone to go first. Mr Joyce tells me to call someone up, so I motion to the closest selected.
"Oliver." I say, gaining his attention as he turns to me, "You're first." I motion for him to come stand with me.
Oliver points to himself unsure, "Me? First?"
I laugh, wanting him to relax, "Yes, come on."
Oliver quickly comes over, dressed in a neat looking dark grey suit. His orange curls are left loose, but tamed back a little with gel.
Oliver has such a cute smile when he's nervous.
Mr Joyce looks at our positioning, "Ok Charlotte, Oliver, first one everyone has to do the same, face inwards towards each other, yep, and Charlotte hands together, Oliver hands at your sides. Perfect."
I quickly glance back at Oliver who's fidgeting with his blazer, "You look handsome Oliver, relax."
"Thanks Charlotte. You look incredible too." He whispers back and gives me a nervous grin.
"Looking this way please," Mr Joyce says, "Alright and 3, 2, 1."
The camera flashes as I stand straight and smile, hopefully my eyes not being closed.
"Excellent." Mr Joyce says after quickly glancing at the result on his laptop screen, "Now Charlotte can I get you facing the other corner. This one you can do what you want more or less. Oliver you can put your arms around Charlotte if you wish."
Oliver seems hesitant, being the respectful person that he is, so I didn't push him and waited until he put his hands politely on my waist.
"Alright that looks good, 3, 2, 1."
Mr Joyce checks the photo again, "Alright that will have to do for you Mr Oliver, we have a lot more to get through." He says and waves the next selected over.
"Sorry I'm so awkward in photos." Oliver apologizes, but I wave him off.
"You did perfectly, don't worry about it. I'll see you later."
Oliver smiles, his hazel eyes brightening, "Yeah, thanks Charlotte."
Oliver leaves the area as Raydon steps in, making an effort to take in my outfit slowly.
"How is it you manage to look even more stunning every day?" Raydon asks, trailing a hand across my face to gently tuck my hair behind my ears.
"How is it you manage to compliment me every time I see you?" I say and flattening his tie down that had puffed up a bit after he moved.
