It was Jeremys birthday, the day of the hero's vs villains themed dress up celebration. I had taken breakfast in my room, wanting more time to prepare my outfit. Everyone had been told to dress as a comic character, a hero or villain of their choosing, and I was taking it very seriously.

Of course I was going to dress to impress. I also dressed as a villain because I wanted a chance to look badass without my parents screaming at me. As a princess you don't get many of these kinds of opportunities, so when one comes along I go full out.

I had the two pigtails with dyed ends, the red lipstick, even the tights and jacket. I opted for a red and blue skort kind of thing, something a bit more appropriate than booty shorts.

With help from Thea using some hair dye, by the time I had finished my breakfast I was all glammed up looking like the boss anyone dressed as Harley Quinn should.

"You look awesome miss, everyone's going to love your costume." Thea compliments me as she adjusts my hair, meeting my eye in the mirror.

"Is the baseball bat too much? Because I know Thomas didn't agree but I think it adds to the look."

Thea shakes her head, "I'm going to have you agree with your brother on this one Miss, I don't think you should be carrying a weapon around the palace."

"Damn it. Oh well. Could you fetch Jeremy for me? I'm assuming they are still having breakfast." I ask my maid and she nods.

"Of course, do you want me to bring him here?"

"Yes, I would like to wish him a happy birthday separate from the group, and give him his gift." I say, standing from the vanity to go and grab his present from my dresser.

"Right, anything else you need before I go?" Thea asks and I shake my head no.

"No that's all. Thank you Thea."

She gives me a smile, "Not a problem."

"So, I'm not all the best with gift giving, but I did notice that out of all the guys, you're the only one who wears watches. Also, the ones you wear don't belong to the palace as we don't give them out, so I thought you must like them." I say and Jeremy gave me an impressed smile from his spot beside me on the couch.

"I'm surprised you noticed." He said, running a hand over his orange hair. Jeremy was dressed as the flash, a bright red leather jacket and the iconic gold clips over his ears. The costume actually worked nicely with his hair colour and he seemed to like the theme of the party his group had chosen.

When he had first entered my room, as we were now sitting on my couch in one corner, he complimented my outfit and said he loved what I had done with my hair which was nice.

"I have a good attention to detail. Anyway, here." I pass Jeremy the small white box, one with a bright red ribbon tired in the bow on the top. He took it delicately in his hands before undoing the ribbon carefully.

He pulled the lid of and looked at me with wide eyes, "No way." Jeremy delicately picked up the watch and examined it, "This is so cool. I can't thank you enough."

"I'm glad your pleased." I say with a smile and he looks me right in the eye.

"Pleased? This is awesome, and hella expensive."

I shrug as he takes in every detail of his new watch, "Royalty has perks I guess."

"Yeah, can you help me put it on?" He asks and passes the new shiny accessory to me.

"Of course." I say, taking the watch from him as he hurriedly goes to remove his old watch from his wrist.

Jeremy seems to be really happy with his gift, which I was glad. Gift giving was so hit and miss, and he didn't seem to be faking his reaction. Who wouldn't want a flashy watch?
