Since the naming of Priya, Jordan had insisted that she was no longer the Delilah that he had grown close to. His suspicions only fueled Nia's as she suspected that there was more to their black blood than they were letting on. Her only relief is that Atlas was safe on the ship with only those she trusted knowing his blood.
"Nia." Two voices called out before she was brought over to the table where Jade and Madi were sitting with Gaia.
"Can you please help me convince Gaia and Clarke to let me go to school?" Madi begged hoping the commander would convince the Priestess. Nia had known why Gaia was reluctant in allowing Madi to go, her only intent was to protect the lineage of the Flame and Nia had Tate and Fox close by in the event of an attack.
"Whether I allow it or not, the decision to let you isn't up to me." Nia stated knowing that she could speak out for the girl as Clarke was also against the girl going to school.
But the girl's mother had entered the bar and was beginning to head over to where the guys were conversing. Madi jumped up and ran to give Clarke a hug before coming out with the question.
"Can I please go to school today?" Madi asked again hoping for a different answer.
Clarke's response shocked Nia and Gaia as she had been more than resistant in the girl's want. "I don't see why not."
"Clarke, we talked about this." Gaia stood up to protest but the movement by the door stopped her. A movement that Nia hadn't missed either.
"Apparently, people with blood like mine are a target. The Primes insisted." Clarke explained but it did nothing to ease the tense the two in front of her were not experiencing.
"Which is why Madi needs to continue her training with me. What if she skins her knee? Or, I don't know, gets a paper cut?" Gaia stated to the blonde in Trig but she seemed confused making Nia look at her.
"Everything okay?" A new voice spoke out beside Nia. Bellamy had approached the women after seeing their the looks on their faces.
"Yeah. Fine. Where are the others?" Clarke looked relieved at the change of subject.
Bellamy was quick to inform her about the rest while Gaia and Nia looked at one other. Gaia was worried about the girl's blood being exposed where as Nia was wondering how Clarke had changed her mind overnight. Clarke had always opposed against Maid's blood since Gaia had tried to make her the commander, she wouldn't risk the girl's life, so what changed?
"Speaking of books, let's get you to school?" Clarke welcomed the chance to leave and find the others.
Gaia had tried once more to object but the blonde brushed her off. Her word choice grabbing their attention as Bellamy called her out about it. Gaia pulled Nia aside wanting to stop the school idea. But Nia's gaze focused near the door, Jade stood beside Madi as the younger girl was ready to set out. An idea popped in her mind at the sight of both of them.
