Once the group had managed to subdue Emori from her task of trying to kill Murphy, they had gone into a building as a way to keep themselves from being so exposed. While the pilot was unconscious, they were quick to place cuffs on her.
"I guess now we know what the restraints are for." Bellamy commented about the item that was placed in each building.
"How long will she be out?" Echo asked concerned about what might happen if she were quick to wake.
"The sedative in the tranq-sticks should last up to 3 hours." Jackson informed.
"Okay. What about the mothership? They're gonna think it's us. How do we warn them?" Miller questioned about another aspect of their current predicament.
The question was making Nia think about all the possibilities and remind her of when they first arrived on the mothership and seen all the prisoners. One of their options being to kill them while they slept. Nia couldn't help but think the worst when it came to whoever might land on the ship. She was worried about her children, but another part was at ease knowing that at least a few fighters were up. If anything bad would happen, she would hope that Octavia would protect her children.
"We don't." Bellamy spoke their worst outcome. "Radios don't work down here. For now, we worry about ourselves. Murphy, you okay?"
Bellamy's statement did nothing to ease Nia's fears. With the new knowledge of what they could possibly be facing and how Emori reacted to it, made them all cautious of themselves. None of them knew how each of them might react to this toxin, but they all hoped that nothing major might happen while they waited for the toxin to wear off.
"His wounds are superficial. You're lucky." Jackson informed as he finished bandaging Murphy up.
"Lucky? Sorry. Is that your professional diagnosis?" Murphy began to sneer at the doctor. "Because if so, you suck at being a doctor."
"Murphy." Nia called out to him cutting off his harsh words. Right now wasn't the time for them to be turning against each other and pushing each other's buttons.
"No. What? I'm dying to know what he thinks turned my girlfriend into a monster that attacked me." Murphy responded as he continued to try and deem the doctor.
"It's all right here. 'For two days, heaven is hell, and friends become foes.' Whatever is in the air, it affects people too." Clarke explained as she read a part of the book that they had found.
"Why are the rest of us okay?" Miller wondered unsure about how it affects the rest of them.
"I don't know. But according to this it comes from the plants." Clarke continued with the book.
"It's a children's book." Murphy retorted about their source of information.
"A book that's meant to educate." Nia replied knowing that stories and teachings were meant to for the young to have a better understanding.
