Bucky and I learned that Sam didn't accept Captain America's role and gave the shield to the Smithsonian in Washington D.C.
Someone else would take up the mantle, and Bucky and I had mixed feelings about the whole situation. Anthony came running home from school, and he seemed very excited about something. "Mom! Dad! Guess what?" "What, sport?" Bucky ruffled our son's hair as he sat down on the couch. "They're gonna announce the new Captain America on TV!" he bounced up and down like a toy ball.
