I stared at the ceiling as I couldn't sleep the entire night. I tried to by shifting to different positions but I really couldn't. My mind was occupied as I kept thinking about what happened between Chaeyoung and I earlier.
I sighed and heard the alarm clock go off. I checked my phone and there was still no reply from Chaeyoung.
(Mallow): Chaeeee pleasee replyyyy
(Mallow): I'm sorry for what I said earlier...pleaseee can we fix this?
(Mallow): I hope you're sleeping well Chae...Goodnightt
I groaned as I turned my alarm clock off and took a moment in deciding whether to get up or not. I wasn't in the mood to go to school today either.
I took a deep breath before gathering the energy I had left to stand up from my bed.
I moved the curtains to the side and was met with the sunlight. I closed my eyes for a bit as it was too bright. I lazily went down and ate cereals for breakfast while staring at my phone, hoping for any message from Chaeyoung. I went to the bathroom to wash up and take a bath. I brushed my teeth and saw the dark circles around my eyes.
Aish...
I sighed as I changed into my uniform. I looked to my side as I heard my phone ring. I quickly made my way to my bed and take my phone to see who called me. My eagerness faded as I saw that it was from Dahyun. It's not like I didn't want her to call, It's just that I was waiting for Chaeyoung's.
"Hey" I greeted in a low voice.
"Yah! Where are you?! Class is about to start" She whispered as she was already in class.
"Uhh...I'll um...be there in a bit" I replied groggily.
"Are you okay?" She asked, concern obvious in her tone.
"...Y-yeah, I'll leave now. Bye" I quickly said as I drop the call and sighing after.
I took a deep breath before taking my bag and leaving the house. I felt empty and my was just blank as I made my way to school.
I went to my room and noticed that the teacher was already there.
"Oh...Mr. Han, Why are you late?" Ms. Kim asked and the class looked at me.
"I...uh, woke up late. Mianhae" I said as I bowed.
"I'll let it slide as it's your first time. Go to your seat" She said before continuing what she was doing.
"Thank you, Ms. Kim" I said before bowing again and going to my seat.
I sat down and took out my textbook. I saw a crumpled piece of paper land on my desk so I unfolded it.
"Are you okay?" The writing said.
I looked to my side to see Dahyun, pretending to listen at the discussion. I took out my pen and began to write.
"Yes" I replied as I tossed the crumpled paper on her desk.
I saw her write something in it before crumpling it again and tossing it to my desk.
"You know you can tell me" She wrote and I sighed.
"I'm just not in the mood" I wrote before crumpling it and tossing it back to her.
I saw her look at me in peripheral vision. She wrote something before throwing it on my desk again.
"Cheer up okay?! You know I'm here to make you happy when you feel sad:)" I read as I felt a small smile form on my face.
I looked at her and we made eye contact. She saw the small smile on my face and smiled back widely. I found it cute when she winked.

I chuckled at her action before looking back at the paper and writing back.
"Thank you Dubu...I know I can always count on you" I smiled as I crumpled it and gave it to her.
She smiled as she read what I wrote and I smiled back. The next teacher came and so did the boring subject which made me keep zoning out of the discussion.
I wonder what she's doing now
I thought before looking outside the window. I looked down on the field as I saw a class having their P.E.
I noticed a familiar figure and I was right. It was Chaeyoung. She looked happy while she jumped around. My smile faded as Hyunjae came and joined her.
She looked happy with him. It broke my heart. I looked back at the board to see that it was almost full of writings as I was already late in the discussion.
I sighed before laying my head on my arms on the desk. I stared at the peaceful blue sky as I felt myself drift to sleep from staying up all night.
Does she still love me?
Dahyun's POV
I stopped writing on my notebook to look at Malcolm for me to see him sleeping. I sighed mentally as I was sad to see him like this.
I leaned on my side to gently shake him but no response. I let him continue as I assumed he didn't get much sleep from the way he was since earlier.
-Time Skip-
The teacher just left and thankfully he didn't see Malcolm, taking a nap in his class.
I sat down on the chair infront of where he was sitting. I looked on the ground as I waited for him to wake up. My mind suddenly was reminded of what had happened last night. I mentally sighed as I was concerned for him.
I looked at him and admired him. His face was glowing under the light of the sun. It couldn't be helped as a smile formed on my face.
I held out my hand and hovered it on his face so he would have shade. I giggled at how cute he looked but the moment didn't last long as he started moving not long after.
I removed my hand as his head shot up and he started to look around the room.
"Where is everybody else?" He asked before yawning.
"Oh...they left. It's already breaktime" I answered and he hummed before looking at me.
"Aren't you going to eat?" He asked, giving me a confused face.
"Ani...I'd rather stay here with you" I giggled and he smiled.
"Thanks Dubu" He said.
"Well...I have snacks here if you want some" He said as he reached down on his bag and pulled out some chocolate snacks.
"Here you can have this since I know how much you love chocolate" He smiled as he held it out and I took it.
"Thank you Malcolm-ah" I smiled back as we both opened them.
He started eating happily and I couldn't help but be very happy as well as I watched him.
