Ch. 11

CH 11

Jayden...

After we were done with the meeting we all had a late dinner, then after that we were up in our rooms and a lot of things were going through my head. The fact that this guy Ty is crazy, everyone knows that either your family or Beta can only become an Alpha. He was so desperate to become an Alpha. Then I was thinking of Lena hoping and praying that she was okay.

I couldn't sleep I'm standing by my window looking at the moon. The moon is so bright here so beautiful like my Lena. When I get her back I am going to make things right for us and take her as my mate.

"Get some rest Jayden, you are going to need it," Jason lying in his bed with his eyes closed. We're sharing a room, "I can't sleep knowing that she is out there and we are so close to getting her."

"I know Jay and we will bring her home, now get some rest even if it's an hour sleep, ok?" Jason looks at me now.

"Sure..."

Jason turns around facing the wall I go and lay in my bed staring at the ceiling. An hour passes and I'm still awake. Jason snoring, he's in a deep sleep. I get out of bed put my shoes on and then my jacket. I walk towards where there is a bomb fire going and there are a few guys out there sitting on the logs.

"Want some coffee?" one of the guys asks me. "Sounds good," he passes a cup to me. "So Alpha I take it that you can't sleep huh? By the way, my name is Rick in charge of the patrols at night," he sticks his hand out for me to shake.

"Hey, Rick and thanks for the coffee. I can't sleep because my mate was taken from me and I'm just anxious to get her back," I was looking at my coffee steam coming out.

He didn't say anything after that we just sat there in silence I look up towards the moon and started speaking to our moon goddess in my head.

"Moon goddess please don't let Lena be harmed in any way. Let me find her safe and give her the strength to hold on."

"You're lucky that your mate is still here. My beautiful Rose passed away a year ago. She was running in wolf form with our kids in the forest. A couple of Rogues pass through on our land and killed her. I felt it when I was asleep in our bed. I shifted then howl loud started running towards my mate.  Alpha Mathew and a few others followed me when I spotted my mate lying on the floor with scratches all over her body and my kids were holding each other crying. If it wasn't for them I've probably would have been dead myself. It's hard to live without your mate, but when you have kids it's different," he was looking deep into the fire.

"I'm sorry for your loss Rick."

"Thanks, Alpha," we sat there in silence again.

A couple of hours passes and I'm still up. Good thing that it's time for everyone to get up. 

"Hey Jayden, please tell me that you got any kind of sleep?" Jason walks up questioned me.

"I tried, I really did I lay there for an hour and nothing, so I decided to just get up and hang out here," Jason shook his head at me.

"I'm going to round up the rest of the guys so that we can get going," Jason turned around ran towards the others cabins.

I look the other way and seen Alpha Mathew and few of his men walking towards me.

"Morning Alpha Cruz, did you sleep well?"

"Not really I'm just anxious to find my mate,  my wolf is going crazy wanted to leave to find her as well," I turn back around and see my men walking towards me as well as Ayden men too.
