I was in one of the clinic rooms that I've been in for the past few months. Dad, and Jayden uncle Jo been here walking back and forth, they both are worried wondering how bad the bullet wound is the one that hit Jayden.

We are just having the worst luck with these Rogues I am finally getting better and now Jayden is laying on the gurney in the next room. Doc is working on him now, so we are just hoping that it's not anything serious.

Jayden phone started to ring and I look at who is calling, it some girl name Kaylin and wow she is beautiful.

"Who is this?" I asked Jayden uncle.

"Oh that it his friend Kaylin from the pack that we use to stay with," he responded with a small smile.

"Umm.....hello."

"Who in the hell is this answering my friend phone?" she said angrily but sounded so cute.

"Whoa calm down, this is his friend Jason. No need to yell and get angry," I said warmly on the phone to her. Her voice was unbelievable.

"Well I need to speak to him, can you please put him on the phone?" she asked calmly. "I can't..........he's busy right now and he can't come to the phone," I sounded nervous.

"Look I never met you in person, but why do I have a feeling that you are lying to me?" she asked demanding.

"Well I'm sorry if you are taking it wrong, it is pack business and like I said I will make sure he calls you when he is available," I said it more with Beta tone.

"Don't you dare use that tone with me, I know there is something wrong and you won't tell me, so we will be over there by tonight," she had an attitude.

"What! No, don't do that," I was nervous again.

"Why not?" she asked again.

"Because it's not safe here......we...umm...we've have been attacked today so it won't be safe for you....wait who is us?"

"Me, Allison and Lena,"

"Lena as in Jayden mate Lena?"

"Yes, he umm texted her earlier for her to come down and visit," she sounded nervous this time.

"Now I know you're lying, you sound very nervous on the phone and Jayden told me he rejected her, also I see no text to Lena from Jayden. I'm looking through his phone right now and all I see is text from Lena, none from Jayden," I smirk on the phone.

"Fine, your right, she is just worried about Jayden and wants to make sure he is okay. Her brother and two of his friends left already heading to your territory."

"Yes I know already, look Jayden been hurt and the doc is with him now.  As soon as I get information on how he is I will text you ASAP, okay?" I asked hoping that she would accept my answer.

"I knew it and yes please let me know how he is doing. Sorry for being an ass with you I know you are recovering yourself," she sounded so sweet on the phone.

"Yes I am, look I will text you from my phone. I will get the number from Jayden phone and I'm also sorry for being an ass with you too," I apologize to her too.

"No, it's okay you were only doing your job as a Beta, so it's okay," I could tell she was smiling.

"Well, I will text you as soon as I get information and tell Lena not to worry even though she will. I will talk to you soon."
